The union may be backing him but he has been arrested and charged, so that's something at least (most of the time in these cases the officer is just put on paid administrative leave).

What a real piece of garbage. He is an individual in a profession of good guys. I'm thinking this becomes a cop bashing thread in 3...2....

Every cop is a good cop, every cop is a bad cop.

Not going to bash all LEO. That would be wrong, but the good ones better start putting the finger on the bad ones. The departments need to have better evaluation techniques for their staff. Don't serve warrants in the middle of the eve. Use alternative defenses on people pets other than pulling their guns. How about pepper spray?

I hope this guy gets what he deserves, but I would be willing to bet he gets off the charges somehow or another.

The system already protected his ass from getting fired back in 2005. Here's just a piece of that story to show you how bad this guy was and how cops are protected from almost any crime.

One wonders how much money, pain and agony could have been avoided if the City had fired Chrisman after he admitted to planting a crack pipe on a mentally ill homeless woman in 2005, an outrage that was captured by a security camera (http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2010/10/phoenix_pds_killer_cop_indicte.php).

Just a reminder people: This is old news. This happened on October 5, 2010. The Police Officer in question was indicted by a grand jury 10 days after it happened for second degree murder and sometime in March he was fired from the job. He'll likely be sentenced in short order.
Justice will be served. As much as can be anyway.
