Have not in years but back growing up at the crossroads of the Columbia and Willamette..... We fished for trout, steelhead, Salmon and crappie. At 10-11 I had been fishing for crappie on the Willamette and something took off with my line like no other. 1/2 hour later I had 20lbs of Salmon to take home on 10lb test. That is my one and only fish story.[Coffee]

Have not fished in this state since they started requiring your SS# to buy a license.
Fly fisher here.
Biggest fish? As the one armed fisherman said,"I was this big http://smileys.emoticonsonly.com/emoticons/s/speak_to_the_hand-3659.gif ."

Did a red run, King float and halibut 10-day trip about a decade ago, fantastic experience. Primarily on the Kenai, Homer was the port-of-call for the Halibut charter. If your not already hitting the gym it's too late, cranking them barn-doors off the bottom can be a serious workout. Lotta people up there though man...way more than I expected. You'll have a blast.

I was at my favorite place in southpark fishing for brookies and pulled this 26 inch brown out of a beaver pond. I'm having it mounted to hang in my office.

I go fishing. I just don't catch any fish. I can be using the same bait and techniques as everyone else around me is, but I can't catch fish. [Rant1]
I do love to get out in God's creation and fend off mosquitoes with the family though.
...but...
...but...
...how'd you keep the beer cold, car-15?
I like to stream fish. Haven't done it in a while. Plan to wet my line this year a bit. Grew up fly fishing, so I don't view it as an elitist statement, as some seem to. My current enjoyment is ultralight spinning gear. I picked this up when I lived in the Pacific Northwest. Too much overgrowth for decent back-casting there.
My wife and I love to fish. In fact she even cleans what she catches. I caught a nice 16 lb flathead catfish years ago in Iowa when i was back visiting my father. I miss fishing back there...I prefer to fish for Bass, Crappie, Blue Gil, Walleye, & Catfish. Not to much of that around here from what I've found. Mostly Trout here. Regardless, I still like to go! Take care! [Beer]
