All four suspects were in the country illegally, investigators said. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed holds on them, so they will be delivered to the agency for deportation once they are released. You folks who think illegal aliens don't hurt anyone - ARE YOU FUCKING READING THIS?!

You and your idiotic attitudes make me sick, to hell with you.

Garcia, however, has been deported twice before following previous arrests. He was deported Jan. 18, 2008, after serving nine months in prison as the result of a plea deal in a drug-possession case.
All are expected to be back in the country by Monday.

The relatives who helped her hide the truck and helped her try to get out of the country should also get prison time, not just a misdemeanor and probation.

That's why everyone not from this country loves America. You can get away with a lot of shit... I heard in some parts of Asia If you ended up in jail you better have family that will come daily to bring you food other wise you'd starve.
Not in America... you get a free room with 3 meals a day, and since your not a US citizen you'll just get deported?! [Rant1]
Sorry.. just hate it when bad people get away with doing the worst.

Initially, I would have liked to been able to laugh at Byte's addition to this, but instead I just find the realism in his addition making me more angry by the minute!!! [Rant1] It appears that there just might possibly be a slight problem with the system when we have already deported one of these fine, upstanding, contributors to society twice and they have found their way back - ILLEGALLY!!! I know a few people who have gone through the process of getting into the country legally (from Mexico and Europe), and I know from previous discussions with them that it chaps their hide as much as it does mine.

My Wife said
"Why we spend so much time and Money doing the papers and they don't?"

I have no answer for her...

"If it ain't broke don't fix it..." well this is really f***ing broken! [Mad] I'm sick of seeing these people come into this country by the 1,000s on a daily basis, breaking our laws (and most are common sense based that everyone can appreciate such as don't f***ing steal!) and then all that happens is they get deported and a tally goes next to their name. What happens when the tallies add up? They get better living conditions courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer (see: Prison)! They keep sending them back and these scum keep jumping back over into our country. We're making it too nice for them here, the punishment isn't severe, and to make it even worse they work illegally in this country and don't contribute to our economy- they send the money back to family still in Mexico! WTF, OVer!? If something doesn't happen soon our country is going to stop circling the bowl and just go the way of that big brown submarine.

The illegal alien 3rd world POS got 12 years. Should have gotten more but at least it didn't skate.

After an emotional hearing during which the family of hit-and-run victim Jose Medina called on the judge to deal harshly with the driver, a judge sentenced the woman to 12 years in prison, calling the crime "monstrous."
Norma Vera-Nolasco, 32, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, received the maximum sentence possible in the death of Medina, 21, a valet who was struck as he held a car door open.
"I understand you weren't trying to kill anybody, but by being behind the wheel of a truck drunk, you were a dangerous weapon. . . . You are not a monster, but the act you committed was monstrous," Denver District Court Judge Martin Egelhoff told Vera-Nolasco.

I think the proper punishment for this jack ass should be, being run over while working as a valet parker.... just sayn...

I'm all for public executions..... find the biggest tree by the capitol and start taking care of business. Put a sign on the dead corpse letting the general public know what they did. That way the person thinking about doing the same crime knows the outcome.

But thats too radical and we dont have the spine for that.....

I will just keep crossing my fingers, finding the good in all people and hope we can all just coexist.

Would the sign be bilingual?

Okay let me get some clarity here on this issue... a lot of you are saying that she should have gotten more prison time? 12 years on my dime doesn't sound too great to me, tack on another 38 years (total 50) and now we're fully supporting this TCN for possibly the rest of her life. I say if you're illegal, you kill someone (especially in this case because she was drunk behind the wheel and they caught her trying to flee to Mexico) we should invoke the immediate death penalty, not wait 10 years in the State Motel but the following day, you're guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, you killed someone, AND you're illegal... goodbye.

The death penalty was not an option, I doubt it will ever be an option, if it was a option then I'd be for it in this case based on the facts that she killed someone and she is here illegally.

Unfortunately we don't live under a good ruleset, we live under a liberal ruleset and in this case I'm glad she got some punishment. I bet the looper pardons her or she gets out before her term is up.

The victim in this situation is a cousin of one of my Soldiers. The family is unhappy with the sentencing, but state statute provides ranges of sentencing for specific crimes. The judge can't go outside those ranges. Obviously, the family wants the maximum, plus more. Wouldn't you?

I think they should lay the lady down behind the valet's mother and let the mom run her over a few times. Did anyone see her barely able to stand on the news last night. It's terrible how a legal citizen has their rights deprived to the extreme by an illegal... but we still allow them in every day and some (O and Looper) want to grant them amnesty.
