The comments on that article are actually a little relieving, it seems like people are noticing that anti-gun laws don't equal safety and that it's a giant mistake that one pharmacist is getting jail time for taking action. How sad though for those employees.

And the way it is now days if I am in that store, unless my family is in danger I am nothing more then a witness! If guns point my families way I am "wrecking shop"!

He did "murder" a guy that was robbing him and would have done the same to him if given the chance though. Yes he should have good shot placement with the first round and not followed up [Beer]

More reason to conduct training with your weapon.

It's pretty hard to argue that laying on the ground, unconscious and unarmed is "robbing" and it'd be pretty hard for him to have done the same as well.

Which is why I agree that consistent shot groups center mass during the initial encounter are critical.
this prevents the need for follow-ups and/or reloading

Ah the Police State of New York... anyone really surprised that something happened in a place like NY? They have the harshest and most strict handgun legislation in the country, this all could have been prevented had just one of them been carrying. Glad I don't live in a place like that.
NRA Statistic: over 40% of gun related crime occurs in "Gun-Free Zones" or where guns are not allowed.
