This was my first high desert classic and I might just have to add this one to my must shoot list. It was windy, dusty and a little on the warm side, but the stages were outstanding and I thought it was well run, with the exception of the BS penalty on Charlie, which cost him overall in Limited. Oh well, we all know who really won the division so a bittersweet good on you. Glenn Higdon won overall, but it was much closer than usual, as the competition was pretty close in the open class. Glenn put down three napalm runs on Sun morning to pull off the win. Being on a fun squad can make all the difference in a match and my squad was great. Everyone helped keep things moving and no one was apprehensive to share stage break down ideas if asked. In general the Colorado shooters did well. Glenn, Hannu and Anne all did excellent. Curtis, Ron Hansen, Kathy and I pulled down respectable finishes also. Rich Boyes didn't win anything, but had a break out event and we were all thrilled to watch him push down the gas pedal. He'll be dangerous some day in the not so distant future.

Anyway, if anyone from the high desert crew is reading this, thanks for a really fun event. Can't wait to shoot it again next year.

It was a fun match with challenging stages. Every stage made you use those bumpy things on the top of the gun which is a good thing [Beer]

Charlie, so you were not point shooting ? I was and you can see it from the results [Bang] A couple of physical falls after too much sun etc.
The good old friend Glenn "I am from Vegas" Higdon seemed not to be affected by the hot and dusty weather so much and he took pretty many points more than I did. Well last time weather was cooler and results were different, but it is just the name of the game :)

CO-Exprs are your initials MP ? If yes it was nice to have fun with you :)

Hannu> There were a couple of targets I figured were close enough to point shoot instead of use my sights and ended up with a miss on each one......... [Bang]

I thought that the weather was not bad at all. The weather in New Mexico was WAY better than it was in Texas at the Double Tap. 102+ deg mixed with 80+% humidity = [Sweat]

I told Conrad to do this [Slap] if I ever talked about going to Texas for a match in the summer again

Yep, Hannu, that be me. Find any twisty roads on the way home to rally? I've never gotten to shoot with you before, and both you and your better half were terrific. Hope we get to cross vapor trails again soon. Maybe mile high?

165 power factor would take care of that problem.
