Does anyone knoe where i can get a two piece (ie; does not require removal of the flash hider) fixed front sight block? Iv'e only been able to find flip up ones. such as -

My issue is that i want the fixed front sight block mounted to a 14.5" (pinned flash hider) barrel with full floating hand guards. Ive already got the midlength gas barrel (black hole weaponry) and FF handguard (YHM). Now im seeing a difficulty in that once i pin the flash hider, the FSB and handgaurd will have to remain on the weapon untill i either
a) Cut the FSB off (save the flash hider)
b) Cut the Flash hider (save the FSB)

any advice is appreciated.

mount the sight to the rail on the hand guard. the ones for rails are a lower sight to accommodate the height difference.

I was trying to avoid that as i dont really have trust in accuracy in a front sight not mounted on the barrel. Seeing as how pressure on handgaurds effects accuracy at range i can only think that pressure on a FF handguard would have more of an effect on POA/POI. Beginning to think i i just dreamed up this type of a sight.

Possibly best case scenario is the YHM sight pictured. Any one know if a FF hand guard will slide over that sight when its collapsed?

You could also go with a split gas block with a rail on it. Yankee Hill makes one so you could call or email them to see if your handguard would clear it.

Midway shows that their YHM split gas block with rail is back ordered but due in July 8. They also show another brand split gas block with rail.
