So I have this awesome looking AR with an FDE Duracoat.
and a Brass deflector that is going to catch unholy hell at the range.

what to do?

I got tips on everything from Nail polish to Velcro?

OK, well the color matching wasn't really helping on either..

So I was at the shop having my windows tinted and I Asked the 3M Tech about some of their materials.

"its designed to take the abuse of rock impacts."

!

So I got a small piece of scrap from them...

This is why I love this forum. People who think outside the box with ideas on how to make things better without breaking the bank. That looks great! Keep us updated on how well it takes the abuse! Oh, and not real bad pics for a cell phone. Take care. [Neene3]

So as any shooter knows, when you get your rifle back from the smith, you have to go Zero.
That and I have a new front sight....

So off to Family Shooting center I go.

I come back, and here we have the final results.

so as we can see we have some serious solid impacts that would have most likely left uglies on my new coating.
But How to clean this up you ask?

after a solid rubbing with a clean terrycloth towel. NO SOLVENTS OR CLEANSERS USED

I will start taking orders today!
For only $29.95 you too can have your own AR-15 brass deflector "Brass-Bro"

That's a good idea! I never thought of using clear bra like that.
