View Full Version : CZ-52, went shooting
I finally got to go shoot my new toy.
It is a very nice shooting pistol!!!!
There isn't much kick to the 7.62x25mm round. The CZ is VERY accurate, although I was only shooting at 10tds. I had all 8 rds in a 1" grouping with most of the holes touching. It's smaller sight picture is helpeful in this I feel.
I didn't chrono it, I was playing instructor for my wife and one of her friends.
With a 4" barrel, this would be a neat carry pistol.

Check out Makarov.com, they have some stuff for your CZ52. I think there is a link on their site for CZforums. I think this address should get you close. Http//p201.ezboard.com/fczechpistols. They have all kinds of forums for CZ pistols but the one you want is Club CZ52.
Don't use the decocker function on the safety untill you have read Makarov.com's warning about checking its function. Always keep the pistol pointed downrange.
Have fun chasing brass!
I love my CZ-52. I chrono'd it at the last shoot that I went to and it was very consistent at around 1500 fps. The sights are the one thing that I really DON'T like about them. They're too small and hard to see in low light conditions. When I'm shooting outside in the daytime then it's not a problem but the indoor range that I frequent is very dark so it can be hard to see them. Overall I love it, though. Good luck finding a better pistol for under $150 these days.

JPFO is now hawking accessory rails for CZ 52s!
Seems a bit like a bayonet lug on a PPK. It sounds cool, but not really useful.
Ok, you got me, who is JPFO?
