I will put this out there as a heads up. I need to get some prices but I am making a trip out to Oregon at the end of the month. Why you ask?

There is a store chain out west that sells bulk items that one can put in Mylar for cheap. Just a partial list of items I have put away.

Dehydrated potatoes, sliced and hash browns.
Dehydrated soups, Veg, 7 bean and others.
Dehydrated refried beans
bacon bits TVP
4 kinds of gravy's
Romano/Parmesan cheese
powered cheddar cheese
Biscuit mix
pancake mix

And a bunch of other stuff.
If there is some interest I can bring back some of these items. Let me know what you might be interested in. I do plan on bringing back a bunch this time but some items I have enough of.

If there is something I have not mentioned ask and I will see if I remember it. Most items when all was said or done was less than 1/2 the price of Walton Feed for a #10 can amount in mylar after all was accounted for.We use many of these items day to day. I know that last time I bought (last year) many items were so cheap like bacon bits and Parmesan cheese compared to buying it in the store it was not even funny.

So post up what you might like.[Coffee]

What store sells this stuff? I wish I would have known. I was in Oregon the week before the 4th. Please post prices or a link where we can see what they have. My brother and I both are interested.

This will give us an idea of what they have available -

definitely interested once I have some prices. Looking for potatoes, soups and some tvp. Just have to see if the prices beat what I have been working with.

I have to look but I did post some price comparisons on the winco cost after the Mylar VS buying the same thing from Walton Feed after last years trip.

We drove out there too. I don't know if you are stopping on the way out there, but we stopped and spent the night at the KOA in Mountain Home, Id. It was a really cool little town and is roughly 1/2 way to where we were headed.

Somewhere between Twin falls and Boise is where I have stopped. It has been ten years since I drove straight through.

If the wife was going then we would just switch off but it is just me this time.

At the very worst I will post up the per # prices when I get there. After that you will have about a week to decide and post up what you want.

There will be a limit of sorts since I am driving the car. So keep watching this space. I should have prices by the 25th.

Also, take a look at the link above. I plan on posting the main items I listed but I am not going to spend hours posting 900 prices so if you see something let me know.

Some prices.

Dehydrated Hash browns $1.49
'' '' '' sliced potatoes $ 1.48
Bacon TVP $1.59
Parmesan cheese $ 3.76
Cheddar cheese sauce $ 5.14
Veg soup $6.06
Beanland soup $ .92
13 bean soup $1.11
Dehydrated refried beans $4.48
Pancake mix $.80
Biscuit mix $1.04
Chicken gravy $ 3.28
Brown gravy $ 2.30
Country gravy $2.76

I have only looked at the hash browns and Walton feed has 27 oz for $8.49 After the bag and absorber 32 oz would be about $4

All the items above I use on a daily basis. I do put some away but I just filled my Parmesan cheese container with the last I had from last years trip. Price the bacon bits you buy at the store.

If there are any items that I have not listed that you saw let me know. Almost every spice is available in bulk like the taco mix.

Do understand I am in a car. For the Denver crowd understand that I am in the springs. If you want something and want to pick it up in Denver I will be coming through saturday the 6th of aug. I can make ONE stop somewhere between 1pm and 4pm as my plans are now. You would need to be flexible on the place and time.

I will leave on the 5th. I assume that after I make my stop in Green River (on the 6th) to take care of my Grandfathers grave that I will be there sometime as above. I will be able to narrow it down and post within 1/2 hour on the night of the 5th.

Questions?
