so im taking by bro in law and nephew fishing tomorrow for there first time, they want to have the mountain experiance wiht out being to far out of denver. any ideas of nice lakes within a hour from denver, i was thinking evergreen but i never have luck there.

^^^ That was my 1st thought too. A little farther N.W. and you can take em to Gross res. By the inlet I do pretty good. [Beer]

Head up Coal Creek Canyon, off 93. Turn right just past the United Power offices. You will run into Gross Res.

Barker Res. is at the top of Boulder Canyon.

We're going up to Chinn's Lake tomorrow. I don't KNOW that you can fish up there, but I assume that you can.
