I'm talking about the words in dictionaries all hyphenated with the characters, that tell you how to pronounce a word. Can any of you book-worms read them?

Um yes, there is a key that explains how each is pronounced at the beginning of the dictionary.

They don't teach that any more... I never learned in school how to do that, I had to learn by looking in the beginning of the dictionary.
