Kinda neat since the Shuttle Atlantis was delivered two days before I was born and launched when I was only about 6 months old... 30 years of space flight and they will no longer be shooting these vehicles into space.
Watch it live here: Launch in T-5minutes.

Last STS flight, won't be the last launch out of Canaveral. They're working on some of the older pads, north of 38A/B that the shuttle flew from. They're being retrofitted to fly the SpaceX Falcon series.

I was born in 78 and i remember watching the launches in school... kids actually wanted to be an astronaut when they grew up... its a shame and a sad day!! our kids are in a world of trouble!!
