Please let me not be the only one here in Colorado to be mounting Surefire Lights to about everything I own!
Get your PICs up! [poke]

quite simple.. we're all using NVG's...no need for lights!
Really depends on how you employ the weapon. Slung front? CQB style? most seem to like center line underneath. I'm a bit more of a fan of keeping mine for the rifle on the right side (outboard) on rifles because of the way I sling them, pistols don't leave you much option.
I'm cheap, so I have a Surefire G2 w/ Z32 shocjk isolation bezel and Z49 click-on tailcap, attached with Viking mount.....

Been thinking about doing that with a couple of my G2's .. what do you think of that setup?

It works great so far; never popped a bulb. The clickie cap makes it easier to operate when mounted in that position, has momentary and lock on function. Plus, costed a total of about $110 for light, cap, bezel, and mount.
There's also the option of a tape switch, but I didn't want wires hanging out. Knowing me, I'd find a way to yank the wire off.
Here's a few

Nice unit...integral mount, but it comes with a handheld tube as well
