i love it because it has an open top slide like ya see on the beretta's.
this kinda compares to the walther model 9," in size and wieght.

ive ran a mag of standard velocity ammo through it.
works just great.
anyone care to chat about old bernardellis or berettas?[Coffee]

Any chat on these things would be a one way conversation with me as I really know nothing about them. That being said, I have a deep appreciation for the quality and style of firearms from that period. That is a great looking piece. [Awesom]

I had the very same model Bernardelli VB in .22 LONG back in the very early 50's. Back in those days, it was known as the VB Baby.... Used to carry mine in a little metal Prince Albert tobacco can. If I ever see another one like it, I'm going to buy/trade for it so, guess I'd better start watching for one at the gun shows where the holder will NOT be in love with it.[Tooth]

awesome to see people still remember these,
i take a trip back in time every time pick er up
vb is the .32 scaled up version i do recon its alot larger

neat trick the vp was chambered in 22 corto "short" .22 long & 25 acp
but if you get a .22 short magazine it will fire shorts out of your 22 long vp

as the vp .22 short and long are the same gun

Otto, you indicate that the "VB is the .32 scaled up version". So apparently in 1952, the information changed on the Bernardelli auto pistols. In the Stoeger Shooters Bible, the .22VB Baby (that is the VB) is listed as taking the .22 LONG only, six shots and it sold for $35.
