Sears screwed up on their website today and had 32 GB iPad 2's on sale for $179. These are typically $599. I took a shot at it and ordered 2. I bet they will notice the error and cancel the shipment, but it would be great if these showed up at my doorstep. Below is a screenshot I took when checking out.

Nice catch... hold them to it!
Just tried their site and it still shows that price but won't let you add it to your cart. [Coffee]

Damn right!!
Tell them youll cut up your Sears card if they dont!!
When I worked for Sears automotive back in the day a customer would say that and get like half off the price!!
The one that i'll never forget is there was one old guy who said ever since we put tires on his car his fridge stopped working!!![Bang] either he gets a free fridge or he's shredding his card!! Ya know he got the tires at cost and they went out and fixed his fridge!!!![Shock]

I had kinda the same thing happen to me a couple months ago. Big 5 Sporting Goods in Colorado Springs had a Mossberg 500 tactical shotgun marked for $289. I walked in and said I’ll take it. I started to fill out the FFL papers and the manager came out and said that the price was wrong and they cannot sell it to me at this price. They would not sell it to me and said there is no law holding them to the price.
I called their corporate HQ and they would not budge. They too said there was no law that says they have to sell to me. I called the BBB and they too said that I was SOL. They said it would be a good gesture if they did sell me the shotgun, but they are not required to.

if I get those 4 Ipads - I'll be doing giveaway contest here (for one), you have my word.
I've seen a lot of deals like this on techbargins/slickdeals and even though you can checkout, they will most likely cancel it as a pricing error. I had this happen several times, and I don't shop at those sites anymore.
If it goes though, i'd buy one from you.

Ya. I looked into it a bit and it seems that the seller can break the contract and return funds at any time before delivery in situations like this. I was hoping that the shipping arm of the company would get it in the mail before the website people figured out what was going on. Either way it was worth a shot.

Everyone is human. I'm glad my feet aren't held to the fire, everytime I make a mistake. I'd let it go. JMO

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away my department transitioned to semi-auto pistols.
The sports castle (was that a Gart's?) on Broadway ran an ad for S&W 645 pistols for like $399. It was about the best deal on a semi-auto so I went down to buy one. When I checked out the clerk said, "Your total is $276 (and change)." I told him I thought he'd made a mistake and even showed him the ad I'd brought with me.
The clerk said, "That's what it comes up as so that's the price. Probably an unadvertised special." I asked if he had any more and he did...two more. I bought them, too. Then he looked in the box...the older, blue cardboard boxes with the inserts in them. There was only one magazine in each box, in the gun. He said, "Oh...these are supposed to come with 2 mags each." He then put 3 additional mags in the bag. I didn't know any better at the time but S&W always tucked the additional mag inside/under that cardboard insert. So when I got home I had 3 645 pistols, 9 magazines and a smile on my face. All for under $900.
I sold 2 of the guns for $475 each with 2 mags. I had a new 645 with 5 mags as my new duty gun at a total cost of +$72 in my pocket.
Never know...maybe they'll show up on the big brown truck.

Me too, my wife has been wanting one for a while. Keep in the circle, lol.

Just got cancellation e-mail from them. Sent them a nasty e-mail back in return. No need to take it any further.
Wow, I also see no reason to not take advantage of a pricing error! One of life's little pleasures, IMO. If some poor cashier mis-counts my change, I'll make it right though. That's a different story to me.
But I remember a discussion on The High Road about a feller who found Winchester White Box .45acp in the 100 pack at WalMart for $2.98/100, and bought all he could. At the time, the normal price was $29.98/100, and they had piles of it. He stumbled upon a major pricing error and jumped on it.
But the people on The High Road crucified that poor bastard as everything from a common thief with no morals to damn near a baby-killer. He was raked over the coals from every angle, just because he'd stumbled upon a great deal. The price was mis-entered in the store's computer, he didn't do it. He'd even mentioned it to the cashier, and was told "that was the price that it rang up as, so that's the price".
But you know damn well that every one of those sanctimonious critics would have done the same thing, and probably gloated even more about it.

A few years ago I ordered 10 cases of Winchester AA 12ga for $35/case from BassPro online. They shipped them to me but the price went back up to about $80/case the next day.
I got free food 1 time at Wendy's.

When I was a kid I went to the bank with my Dad. We went through the drive through. When they sent out his envelope, he started counting the money. He sent the envelope back to the teller and told her to recount it. Then he looked at me and said, I wish all that money was really mine! The teller had sent out way to much money. Dad didn't even think about keeping it. That's the way I was raised and I'm glad I was.
