Not so much a purchase as a gift from my father in law. Had to load the final round in the mags as he couldn't get the 8th one in each, but not really a problem. Gotta make sure I get it to the range this weekend.

I received a Sig Scorpion as a gift last year. They are great guns. The one thing that sucks is the factory mags. Get a couple Wilson 47D's for it. What model is that Dave?

Nice - but where are the pole holders or the downrigger mounts? Is hard to slow-troll the edges with that big of an engine? I have a 1954 Sea King 5 HP you can mount as a kicker - i'll let it go cheap too.

Just finished making this for a customer who was in need of a holster for his CZ 75-B. I like the way the kydex with the "carbon fiber" pattern looks. I also made him a dual magazine pouch to go with it. He will be running this set up at the Clear Creek IDPA matches.

I'm sure she'll end up with a new owner who will love her like I did.

I traded her in. Saved me some tax on the new ride and I didn't have to deal with selling it.

The Bell Star is designed more for a tucked/racing position as it is a race helmet and the RS-1 is designed to compromise between a tucked and less aggressive/more upright position so it's better for street while still fitting in for track duty. The RS-1 is a little lighter and also it's a bit more quiet. Both interiors are one of the plushest out there. I've really only run top of the line helmets from Arai (Quantum F and RX-7) and Shoei (RF-1000 and X-Eleven) and IMO Bell beats them both.

What made you go with the SMH-10 over the new version - or over a Cardo Scala Rider 9?

A couple factors. The new 20s isn't out yet and IMO doesn't offer enough improvement to justify the cost. I currently have a Scala Q2 Pro that I've used for 2 years and I'm not terribly impressed with Scala's performance and features. Everyone that I've seen that has switched from Scala to Sena has been very happy. I think Sena offers more for your money and has a greater quality over Scala.
Lastly I was able to work out a deal on the dual pack ($30-40 cheaper then anyone has them for) by doing a bulk purchase of them.

I *was* waiting for the SMH-20 to come out, or if Cardo will ever fricking release the SHO-1 (assholes) in the US... But I may just pull the trigger on a SMH-10 instead. This is just for my wife and I to talk on two different bikes.

You said you did a bulk purchase -- I am looking for 2, have any for sale?

I bought online from Motorcycle Superstore. They are closing out last years RS-1 models and they can be had for around $200. Fay Myers carries Bell but they don't carry the RS-1. They do have the Star which is fairly similar in sizing, I would say just expect the RS-1 to be slightly tighter/more snug.

Yeah, you'll need to take advantage of the generous Home Depot warranty. lol

I use Dewalt because I've got lots of their gear (just added the new 12v compact Sawzall & another 20v Impact to the collection last week) so it's nice to be able to swap batteries, chargers and accessories. Milwaukee makes some quality stuff too and then there's some manufactures that are up from there that really aren't worth it unless you use them daily for a paycheck. When I used mine for work most of the guys all had Dewalt so you throw your initials on your gear and if you need a battery or charger or something you just swap things around as you work and shit gets done. Kind of like using the same weapon systems on the battle field... but not really. lol

this set is just for simple work around the house here and there, nothing too demanding. I make sure I spend the extra money where I need to - Bought a dewalt sawzall for all the power glory, and then highest amp skill saw. These cordless things are more for me to be lazy instead of dragging out the corded drill.

I understand but the price difference is negligible & the quality/reliability difference is significant. FYI Harbor Freight is doing a 20% off discount and sometimes you can get someone at Lowe's or Home Depot to enter it as a competitor coupon. I did that on the Sawzall & impact I mentioned. You could probably get Dewalt gear for the same or less with a little effort. I just know I regret buying a bunch of Craftsman 19.2v stuff back in the day because it cost less & I was just using it around the house occasionally so no big deal, right? Wrong. It all started crapping out within a year or two which amounted to only a handful of uses. Pretty poor ROI. The term buy once cry once applies to power tools. Anyway, Rigid stuff isn't that bad so I'm not trying to tell you it's garbage just that you can get more reliable for not a lot more money. That stuff you got is better than the Craftsman crap I made the mistake of buying. lol

Whatcha wanna see? Basically they're replacement uppers for the M10 (also available for the M11) that let them fire 5.56 instead of 45/9/380. I guess that's the point that it's helping make the most numerous single machinegun design in civilian hands usable for more than pistol calibers - it's not just M16 types that can shoot a bewildering variety of calibers, including rifle power centerfire. There are plans for other rifle caliber uppers than 5.56 in the future.

Fires from the open bolt like the original, and requires a hole at the back to let the oprod pass through to a spring system housed in the shoulder stock. The hole is actually located such that it doesn't interfere with using the original upper and its internal recoil spring if that's desired, though I may need to come up with a plug or plate to cover the hole when I'm not using these uppers on them.

This spring and oprod modification has been done before for some of the "slowfire" pistol caliber conversions, as well.

I read up on it.. It makes sense.. $2000 upper on sub lower. Rather than a whole m16 for $25k

I had a G-Shock years ago but after I bought my Tag (reward for achieving a personal goal) in 1999 I quickly realized I wasn't going to be wearing it. I've wanted another & this one w/Bluetooth seemed like the logical choice given when I'd be wearing it. This will give me control of my music when I'm doing active activities & such. There was another G-Shock I wanted but they're going for $2k and I couldn't justifying anywhere near that price tag for a 'beater' watch.

I had no idea G shocks got that high in price. Mine retails for $125 and I thought that was a lot for a Casio. Shows how much I know about watches lol.

It's a limited edition that retails for a grand but they're selling for double that online. Mighty fine looking timepiece though.

I hope it proves worth it to you, but I have actually heard a few complaints about them emitting just enough heat to cause itself to register a higher temperature than actual... Nest engineers are even commenting about the +-4degree fluctuation as if it's not an issue, but considering the 60-80 degree span of realistic temps folks might have it set to, that means it could be off by as much as 20% of the intended temperature range.

Picked this up from a member. All matching with all the kit, 1943 and it really shows the late war roughness in production when they didn't take time for finishing touches, just do enough to make it work. Shoots just fine but really needs a detail cleaning but I won't do any refinishing.

3 sheets of OSB, a horse stall mat and a sheet of 3/4" plywood later and I've got a pretty stout deadlift platform to work off of.

Not a new purchase, but it is a new picture of it:
Bushmaster 10.5 "heavy machinegun barrel" flattop upper on Bushmaster lower with Bushmaster 4-pos telestock and standard carbine buffer.

Oh yeah, and it's one of my RLL hosts, with a modified burst FCG to give 0-1-A with the RLL, hence the happy fun switch position.

Found me a good deal today. The DRZ is gone and in with the new. 2012 WR450F Fuel Injected. Now to uncork it and get it ready for a title.

Unfortunately I didn't notice it before i got it, but the original owner must have dropped it pretty hard. Ended up bending the hell out of the left radiator. Ill have to work on a new one or find a fix for this one. Good thing, there are no leaks.
