I bought the Storm from Walmart. It is broken. I don't remember how much I paid for it, maybe $25 about 7 years ago. Tonight I got the Ugly Stick from Sportsmen's for only $36. Came with the Shakespere reel and 8lb mono test.

Jax had it for $50 so I may have to check out Sportsman's. I haven't fished in a couple decades so I wanna head up to a lake one of these weekends real soon & the wife has never been. The problem is I have no gear.

I see. Now to decide if I will fish enough to justify the difference especially considering I need to buy two, one of which may only be used one time.

What kind of Suzuki?

The most recent (and last) was a 2007 GSXR1000 that some idiot decided I no longer needed after only 1200mi when he pulled out in front of me in his Ford F250:

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-e-kQgFxE8mY/TfbIWbfc1sI/AAAAAAAAB3s/UfoHVtaGskk/s1024/07072008.jpg

But in my past days I used to get a little crazy but always on blue/white GSXR's.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-_HGpql-No4s/TfbIYtakVrI/AAAAAAAAB34/Eg09_XaWmVg/s512/StoppieJer.jpg

But now I'm old and boring and decided I'm done with motorcycles since all most biggest accidents occurred when I wasn't being crazy and were completely out of my control. With the average intelligence of the drivers out there I decided to no longer put my life in their hands. I'll settle for driving cages for the rest of my life.

That motor is a good one, I had a ltz400 that I did alot to. It's bullet proof. Let's just say I abused her more than anything else. Ran like a champ. If you decide on performance upgrades I can give you a good, reliable list. I still want the drz400sm, maybe after I get a new house. Priorities suck!.

Yeah I'm already getting my parts list together. I wanted to buy a stock one though so I know exactly what's going into the bike and what has happened to it. Couldn't be happier with this one! I also almost with a Husqvarna but the DRZ is too durable to pass up. Get a house next to my new one. There's one for sale just down the block!

Been looking at a similar rifle, RH, in HBAR 338LM, with large brake. I just can't fall in love with the PRS/ERGO parts you usually see on an AR on the 110BA. Plus the 111 is 800 cheaper, then I can figure out if I want a different stock.

Last week the temp in the house was still 91 when I went to bed. That was it. I made covers for all the skylights, bought new thermal curtains, and installed shades on some windows. And, I bought this. 14k BTU portable. It's in the main room of the house which is probably close to 800 Sq Ft (it's a living/dining room and kitchen all in one with a very tall vaulted ceiling...so there's a large volume of air. The unit is rated to cool 525 sq ft. Yesterday was the first real test. It ran from about 1000 until after 2000 and the temp in the house never got above 79 and that wasn't until late in the afternoon.

So far, I'm really pleased with this thing.

It comes with a pretty heavy vent hose and an expandable insert to place in the window. It's good to go without mods to your window.

You can also direct vent it through the wall if you want a more permanent install.

I've been an Android fanboy since I got a Hero 3 years ago. Went and looked at the Galaxy SIII yesterday. Wasn't a fan so I came home with the Evo. Had the Evo 3D before this guy.

I've been owning, rooting & modifying Android devices since the original Droid launched. The Evo LTE is easily the best one to date. Love it!

First thing I did was root it lol.

Are you still running Sense/the Stock ROM? I hate Sense but the new Cyanogenmod port for it seems to have too many issues for me to want to spend the time flashing it.

I'm on stock. Sense 4.0 is actually quite nice & that's coming from an admitted Sense hater. It's much lighter & more transparent than previous versions. I don't plan to run anything besides stock until a stable version of a 4.1 Jellybean based ROM surfaces.

Nice Monkey. Could you PM me the info on your purchase? I am about to buy one myself.

Certainly.

Very nice. Is that the Franklin? I'm already wishing I had gone one bigger from what I got (which would be the Franklin). Also got from Mark, great guy.

It's the 'National'.. which is the top of the line. The size is the '40'. I know I didn't have the room for the '50'. Even though I'd eventually like to fill it, right now I have to figure out what to put in it :) Guns only take up so much room.

It has a 2.5 hr fire rating, which I'm pretty sure my little place will burn down before that.

Mark does a Great job with delivery.. best $100 I ever spent for someone else to move the safe. I don't think I ever want to try and do it myself.

Damn. Go big or go home. I should have saw that from the external hinge pin and offset handle.

Mines looking pretty bare inside right now but time will fill it and then I'll need another one.

Certainly.

Somebody come get these and then re-post here the great deal you got!

Post #457 in the "Pay It Forward" (http://www.ar-15.co/forums/showthread.php?t=11233&page=23) thread:

I have 3 dirty but functional - and in otherwise good condition - coolers I want to get rid of. 1 is large enough to hide a body in (no...I don't know from experience - as far as anyone knows. I'm just guessing. But no taller than 6' and 190 pounds. Again, just a guess.). The other is medium sized and there's one small one.

And they're really not dirty...they're closer to filthy as they've been stored outside.

Not interested in parting them out. You take one, you take them all. Hose 'em down at the car wash and they'd all be perfect for: camping, hunting, keeping beer cool at your next BBQ, etc...

Yes, you'll have to pick them up in Bailey. No, it's not that far. No, I won't meet you somewhere to give you these things for free. No, I don't want trades.

Come get them. You'll be glad you did.

720-384-8178 Do NOT send me a text message. If you do I'll hunt you down and put that large cooler to use. [Muaha]

Yeah, he's had a rough time. He was confiscated from a hoarder, then bounced from shelter to shelter for the last year and a half. Broke my heart to leave him in his 5x8 outdoor chain link pen, but I have to jump through their hoops. I guess he's too old to get adopted - everybody wants a puppy. Rotties are that way. They are sweet dogs that only want love and attention. One work of caution though, they get spoiled fast. My boy thinks he is a lapdog and he's 110 pounds and still growing. My last boy Homer that I lost to cancer almost two years ago was the same his whole life. Even at death's door he was sweet an loveable and wanted to play.

My wife's Rottie Tank is the same way. Loves attention, especially his morning belly rubs. He loves playing with all other dogs, but we're still working on socializing him around other people. He's not impressed with anyone coming into the house, even folks he's known his whole life. Damn big head. Our previous Rottie Majick was a total sweetheart. The only time I ever heard her growl was at my wife and I when we didn't leave her any room on the couch.

On the left is the bag I picked up from LA Police Gear for $30 when they were on sale last year. On the right is the bag I found at a thrift shop for $3. Actually, I bought the bag for $3, a tie for $2, and he rang me up for $4.34. Go figure. Anyway, I am over whelmed by this bag. It has exactly two pockets, neither of them zippered. The whole is vast amounts of room, and more straps than I know what to do with. There are two straps that don't appear to have counter parts. I've got no idea how I'll use this bag, but it is very comfortable. So comfortable in fact, that I put my 5 year-old in it and could do squat jumps and plyometrics with ease!

Yeah, everybody knows that you just don't care about animals. That's ok, some people just aren't dog people.[Poke] (closest thing I could find to a "sarcasm" smilie)
[Beer]

All 5 of mine aren't as big as that good looking guy. He's a lucky pup...and it looks like he knows it.

My best friend's dog died unexpectedly a few weeks ago. As soon as the initial grief passed we were scouring the shelters looking for the next perfect companion.

Mike spent several days talking to someone at a Heeler rescue organization and found his next dog. Turns out "Toby" was being fostered by a family that lived about 5 houses down from him on the same street! What a small world.

Some things are meant to be.

I bought mine because it was stupid cheap. Wasn't sure if I'd like it. It very rapidly became my favorite gun.

Not my latest purchase, but with all the talk about pups on here, I thought I should share. This is Ranger:
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/9095/dsc0219ar.jpg
He is mostly black lab, and (we think) some blue heeler and maybe a tiny bit of collie somewhere in his bloodline. He is super playful, but when he gets really excited he pees, so every day when I get home from work, I have to go around the back of the house and meet him in the grass out back so we don't have to keep cleaning the carpet in the house. [Roll1]
We got him from the Colorado Canine Rescue 2 months ago and he is currently 6 months old. He was at a shelter in NM, but they were going to put him down because they were overpopulated, so CCR brought him up here, and we adopted him from them. This picture was taken 2 weeks ago at the Dillon Reservoir. Just for good measure, here's another picture of the reservoir from the Lilypad Lake trail:

Why not just get a MTE for that purpose? My MTE (http://shop.gregmcgeeengineering.com/M3-2I-Tactical-740-Lumen-1000-Lumen-option-on-checkout-007.htm) is 1,000 lumens (truly is twice as bright as the new 500 lumen Surefire Fury side by side) and costs under $100. If you compare the run-time it is rated at longer than flashlights with half of the light output or less. I don't know first-hand because I didn't put a timer on it but it's a long time plus I got the 18650mAh rechargeable kit with mine so showing it off all the time doesn't cost me as much as it does those who run CR123's.

Sorry... to spoil it...

he's been done with it since May of this year, but never posted it on here. He ordered a Spikes tactical build with their billet lower and upper... needless to say he is still waiting on it since February... Through his research found out that Seekins made Spikes Billet lowers and uppers.... and Seekins is no longer providing those billet parts to Spikes, and so he continues to wait for his build from Spikes...

Eh, I could care less about Spikes. If I wanted the standard run of the mill AR, them, DPMS, and pretty much 90% of the rest of the companies out there would have worked, and for a lot less mind you. This build is about originality. That being said, I think I'm barreling it in 458...

The local gun shop. Someone decided they didn't want it, so the owner thought she would tease me with it. Took two hours talk her out of it.

Just got both my lights from Greg Mcgee Engineering and I must say that I am IMPRESSED! I ordered the M3-2I originally (1000 lumen package) and then I decided I wanted to switch to the H6-1 (1000 lumen pacakge). It was too late to cancel the original order so I ended up with both lights. After speaking with Greg on the phone he said I could test them both and send back the one I did not want. The M3 is bright as hell! It is way smaller than the H6-1 and packs the same amount of light and IMHO had a better throw. Obviously I decided to keep the M3-2I. Greg was very helpful on the phone and gave me some good deals on the extra accessories for it as well. He will have my business for future torches.

Been using greg's M3 for over a year. It's brighter than most $300 torches out there. The battery lasts long although it can get real warm after few minutes.

I am tempted to buy his 8000 lumen HID...

I am tempted to buy his 8000 lumen HID... w/o any real functional reason!

I could find any purpose if I had that thing! I would find a reason to use it!

Shit yeah. I'm just bummed that he doesn't make a headlight or a smaller EDC style light as I just had to order one of each and went with Fenix once again which I've had great luck with. If he made either of those two styles I wouldn't even think twice about ordering from him. I may suggest a couple different styles like those to add to his offerings.

Since it's a picture thread here's the two I ordered:
