Don't even get me started on those dangly-legged devils! It's been a BAD year!

Yes, they are nesting everywhere. Hell, I killed a 30 cell nest hanging on one of my gates.

They had a good one in the gable end attic vent, and nest inside the drain holes on some of the crappy window frames we have.

Between blasts from the propane hose and wasp spray I must've killed 10,000 of those little bastards this summer.

My infestations have been comparatively minor I guess.

Burned the nest in the ground this past week. One stung the wife and within 20 minutes I had the ambulance on the way. We didn't know she was allergic, just thankful it happened at home and not out camping or hiking, would have been a different outcome.

I fired up the grill for the first time in a month (i know sad excuse for a man), started hearing some strange noises and cranked all four burners on high.. 2m later opened the lid to see a bunch of tiny little smoldering carcases and a good softball sized nest smoking like crazy... left it on high.. waited 30 mins.. cleaned the grill and cooked. I'm not allergic, but i've been stung by 2 dozen hornets back home.. I don't fuck around with those bastards. There is another nest somewhere between the fence and the neighbors house and we can't see it.. we know it's there..just can't find the damn thing.

New fuel line kit took care of the Homelite string trimmer, not so lucky with the edger. Pretty sure the feed line inside the tank had come apart and the filter dropped. No telling how long it was running like that but it stopped working two summers ago and I let it sit without getting any StaBil through it so the ethanol probably etched the carb or what fuel might have been in there varnished. I cleaned the crud from the secondary screen in the carb, and blew out the passages, but no amount of cleaning so far would make it stay running. Would start after prime but not run. Always seemed to be starving for fuel. The little rubber plug/valve under the primer bulb came apart too.

Since a carb on ebay is $27 shipped, I'm hopeful that will solve the problem.

Unless you're after that moat-like gap from the walkway, you're f**kin' up if you can't use your trimmer to properly edge your lawn. Gas is too much of a headache when it comes to blowers/edgers/trimmers with today's lithium tech.

I guess it was well past time replace something that worked a bit better.

Not as big as my last one and the door shelves don't adjust. What refrigs that had the options and did not have crap reviews were too big to fit my old house.

GE 18.2; now that I have a freezer chest the smaller refrig will work well.

Well, I own this shit now. I like lithium in my cordless drills, I'll stick with gas for the outdoor gear thank you very much.

The edger isn't required all the time. In fact, it's been idle for two summers now. The trimmer doesn't always get used because the wife usually cuts the grass in front and is supposed to be edging. When it gets neglected, the edger is then required to get things back in shape. Long overdue now as the sod has overtaken the concrete edge.

On second thought, FO, it's my yard and I'll make a giant moat if I want, to keep the goat fuckers out of my castle.

I also prefer gas for lawn equipment. Although my mower has a lithium battery for the starter. I had an electric (110v) edger that worked well but it took a shit last year. I am contemplating getting a gas one to replace it.

The .308 is an "RFB". Rumor is that the RFB is going to be phased out and new calibers will be coming in the RDB. I would not mess with an RFB...just my opinion.

I'm not sure it's worth $130 for me. We have a decent corded one (Porter Cable I think) that my wife deploys once per year to cut down dead ornamental grasses. So 1) it doesn't get used often 2) it does minimal light duty work & 3) I don't even get to use it. I'm trying to arrive at a point where I can justify the price tag ($200 toll & battery or $130 tool only) but I just can't get there try as I might & I'm a self-proclaimed Dewalt snob.

Congrats, welcome to the club.

My 2004.5 5.9L is still going strong, had a mild tune since 5K miles (Edge Juice). I run 1-2 for mileage and towing, 3 around town for fun, doesn't see 4-5 much as the trans isn't built. Mileage increase never really pays for the cost of the box, but helps offset my fun mode.

Some sort of stuffing I think to let people know that there is a frame that can hold a quarter under the removable pack? Or like Ray said, they're trying to broaden their potential market to cartel mules.

Not sure which? [Dunno]

Went for the matching 4Runner now. I miss my MB, and always scoffed and doubted - but the newborn needed a 3rd row. Unbelievable.

It's a 2003, with a new facelift. New bed (with Line-X and a toolbox) and straightened the bumper. Also new: Exhaust system, Transmission, Tires, Fuel system (pump filters and evap control), Front end suspension, Brakes, Belts, Hoses, Alternator, Starter, Fluids (synthetics in differentials, transfer case, and oil). Coolant system flush and fill. Also a detail.

That's awesome! I have an 8" can in 5.56 that I built. It's pretty quiet and doesn't have a change in POI with it on the rifle. I'm waiting on another Form 1 for my 30 cal can. I'm going to bore it out just a bit so I can use it on a 9mm AR.

I'm happy with it ... its an early factory black gun (so its carbon steel, not stainless). Emailed Kahr and they say it was manufactured September of 1996.

I had a West German P225 several years ago. Helped me fall in love with external hammer pistols. But I got rid of it after (this is weird) I had a couple dreams in which I had to use it, and it had no effect on the targets. Totally lost faith in the gun. I've never had that dream again with any other handgun I've owned, even when I've tried to (thought about the events of the dream as I was dozing off at night).

Maybe I was misinformed but I was told chains cause too much traction and can damage the drivetrain. Please educate me

Well im no expert and I don't run them on dry surfaces but they certainly do make a huge difference in traction, especially in the deep powder. When I bought them I told the guy my set up and he never indicated it could be an issue.

Even with a plow I've been told you should plow with the snow, not wait for it to pile up 3' tall. So I don't mine going out several times to make a few passes. I'm on gravel also so traction is not an issue. I've read that chains on pavement can tear shit up.

I never run chains on pavement or not. Decent tires and if needed strap weight to it. Keep your air and speeds low.

Measure to the bottom of the chassis and plow before it gets that high if possible. You can't really drag with them. Keep wrenches and cable clamps on hand so you can repair a broken cable.

Yes. The salesperson said it's pretty much a waist of money to insulate unless the garage is adjacent to a bedroom (for noise) but my wife wanted it. I think it was an extra $100.

Did you get an alignment done? Did you end up with the new tires on the front or back? If there is a decent difference, the better treads should be on the back, especially with winter weather on the way.

exactly... you want the front end to lose traction before the rear end.... If the front end starts to lose traction, you get controllable understeer. If the rear end starts to loose traction first, you get an uncontrollable spin.

That might be fine and dandy for you but I'd rather have the wheels that steer have as much traction as possible. I can deal with the back end being lose better than the front end being pushed around.

DeSantis Mad Max (copy of the Sparks VMII). Right now it actually fits me better than the original VMII, makes my 5" 1911 disappear under even a t-shirt. With a full size gripped pistol I still have to be cautious in how I move reaching down for things in public as the grip does print but that's been true for every full size gun I've ever used. Great value at $65, had it for a bit over a month and so far I'm very happy with it.

The pistol is a custom build from 2004 by Andy Anderson in Golden. Caspian slide/frame, Ed Brown safeties and ignition parts, Koening hammer, Novak sights, Kart barrel and bushing, very accurate and 100% reliable.

well some will say they do and some will say they don't. I've put many rounds through well used G19s and a Salient G19. To me, the Salient runs smoother, has less felt recoil and faster to get back on target on follow up shots. The grip and frame work on the Salient fits my hands 100% better than stock.

I'm a professional. :) I have all three wheelers, I recently rented one for my vegas trip and they gave me a 4 wheeler by accident. What a pain in the ars that thing was, can't turn around for nothing. forward back forward back. haha. Made them pick up the 4 wheeler and get the 3. If you balance just right, you can ride on 2 wheels.

For the MIL - whatever. She'll wreck it. I doubt she'll be able to use it much, she probably won't be able to pick up all the parts and assemble it on each trip to the store.
