Is there anything in particular you're looking for? I'm going to head to the Sportsman's Center on Tuesday to sight in a couple of rifles and could head to the grasslands to take some pics.
Oh, no, just wondering if anyone who shoots there had some pics (of what to look for) and I wanted to see what the 100 meter shooting looks like. No biggie.[Flower]

I shoot mainly handguns and some sort range (50-75 yard) rifles out there. I'll take some pics regardless and post them up Tuesday afternoon.

Here's a couple pics from last time I went out there. Not a lot of cover from the sun there, the trees in the pics are the only little scattered patches around and they're on the downrange side. I was more taking pics of the girlfriend rather than the area, but you can see what the place is like.

Now that you've seen the two trees in Pawnee. [LOL]
I'm going to have to try to find those trees on Tuesday just so that I can actually say I've seen them.
Cool, is that a Bobcat? How do you like it?
See that spec next to the fence? That's my car at 400 yards.

Close, go back a few decades. Jetfire in .25ACP.
Eh... had it not been given to me I wouldn't have considered getting one, and after spending range/training/carry time with it I have to say I doubt I'd get another one, but I do enjoy having it.
It goes bang every time, can't complain about that. I like that it can be carried on Condition 1 and has a very similar safety selector to the 1911 which I'm used to. Girlfriend likes it cause she can send all 9 (8+1) downrange fast and easy (although she enjoys shooting my .357 and .44 mags more [Coffee]). I like the break open barrel... thought it was dumb at first, but being able to tilt the barrel up and safely drop the hammer is nice. Also like how easy it is to conceal for "deep cover" needs.
I don't like how much of a pain it is to strip and I would prefer a more potent caliber though... not trying to start a caliber war here, I think we can all agree that .25 auto ain't much more powerful than a BB gun.

I went out today and managed to forget my camera. I also forgot a cleaning rod but that's another story. I should be out again next Wednesday and I'll grab some then.
The spot at 88 & 61 looks awesome. I went out there for the first time today and would have stayed but the mosquitoes were vicious. I went to my usual spot and they were still present but tolerable. Looks like I need to add some bug spray to my range bag.
Hmmm, how about a good map also? Or is one posted.
Mosquitoes suck, but isn't it dry out there? or are they spawned from all the recent rain? West Nile can be pretty devastating.

There's a map from a while back but I'm in my phone so I'll have to find it later. There's a ton of standing water from the recent rains.

Forest ranger guys I've talked to have given me a Motor Vehicle Use Map for reference when I've talked to them.

Look at Pawnee West Side
The ones on their site seem to be old for whatever reason.

the mosquitos are terrible out here right now. Even though its dryland country, there is plenty of skeeters. I would definetly bring lots and lots of spray.

Here's the map that I was referring to. It has the heavily used areas.
