View Full Version : Can someone enlighten me...
As to why the junk in my car is valuable to some little punk? I went out to my car this morning and sure enough someone had tossed it. Biggest score they ever hit I'm sure (some pens, an apron, 3 cigs, some change). They also tried to take the stereo but failed somehow and just managed to mess up the console in the process.
Young punks in training and mostly convenience.

This happes all the time with my yard trucks at work. Come in on any given Monday. The doors are unlocked but they felt they had to but out the window anyway. They take rusty pliers, radios that don't work any thing not nailed down.
I won't say this happens often, but when I call the P.D. on my Personal cell phone, They know exactly who I am and the business address to come to. I call on my business land line and I have to tell them the address. WTF???
I had a homeless guy living in one of my delivery vans for 5 months through the winter one year and we did'nt even know it. [LOL]

I had the same thing happen a couple years back. They got my el cheapo sunglasses, a pack of Marlboros, my spare pocket knife, and (Dammit!) my GPS, hip flask from the John Jameson distillery in Dublin, and digital camera. EPSO thought it was just some kids looking for whatever they could get.

Where in Littleton? I hope everything gets sorted for you.
Thats sucks man, sorry to hear. It sounds a lot like what hapoen to me last year. They also tried taking the stero out in myF150 and van but just ended up stealing the face plates ad jacking up the consoles. Little bastards are going to be missing some fingers if i ever catch them.

I leave NOTHING in my truck and just visible garbage in my junk daily commute car in the hopes that nitherone will be broken into - but I realize that inevitably someone will be breaking a window to steal what I don't have.
In todays world there is no supply of individuals who think they are more entitled to what you've worked hard to obtain than you are.
Almost 4 years ago, someone slashed the top on my car to steal my $40 stereo. Cost the insurance company $1600 to fix that. More than once I've thought about camping out over the car with a scoped rifle.

Over by the cemetery/lightrail station, pretty sure it was the group of little hoodlums up the street and kind of thinking putting up a game camera tonight.

I've had the same thing happen before as well. One time though, they were nice enough to zip out the back window on the top of the Tracker I had, but then they used a screw driver and ??? to break apart the dash to steal the stereo. I wasn't too upset about the $100 stereo and they left the Craftsman screwdriver they used (I still have it), but what pissed me off the most was the Generation X CD (Billy Idol's band before he broke off and came to the United States) I had in the stereo was only released in Europe and I haven't been able to replace it, even after 16 years.

I have never locked the doors on any of the 5 convertibles I have owned. Much cheaper that way.
