I will be conducting an NRA Basic Pistol class in Colorado Springs on Saturday August 20. This is not a tactical class, but rather a Basic Pistol class.

This is a class for people who want or need live fire training. This course is 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

This course meets Colorado's requirements for CCW training.

The course is normally $125, but if you tell me you saw this on the CO Ar-15 Forum, I will discount the price to $100.

For more information, please visit my website or call me.

Thanks to all who have shown interest and enrolled in this class. It is officially full at this point.

I am accepting enrollment for my next class on September 17.
The $25 discount for COAR-15 forum members will still apply.

My wife attended this class and had a great time! She learned a lot, had fun, and is far more comfortable and confident with her handgun now. Thanks! She's already asking about additional training!

Thanks for your kind words. Lisa doesn't get on this site as often as I do but I'll mention to her to check in now and again.

We had a fun time, too. Lots of good questions and interaction from the students. Class went a bit long and we're sorry that happened but with a group as willing to participate as these folks were, it happens.

(psssst. keep this quiet. the girls outshot the boys yesterday and the Army marksman in the lane next to us noticed it, too. we had two ladies that had never even picked up a pistol before, let alone shot one, and they were shooting 2-1/2" groups before we were done.)

Thank you for the kind review. This group was very inquisitive, which we all learn from, but unfortunately I got a bit behind. It was nice having 3 forum members and seeing the dramatic improvement in shooting skills and comfort with firearms from most of the students.

I hope the future classes will also be this good.[Flower]

Thanks again, [Beer]
