I'm really unhappy with Desantis Holsters...

Online I ordered a left-hand holster for my Public Defender Poly.

It came on Friday, BUT it was a right-hand holster in a left-hand package. Of course I'm abit unhappy... That is until today when I talked to them... Now I'm pissed!

I figured I'd call them, they'd apologize, tell me the correct holster is on its way with a return label.

NOT....

Before they do anything, they want me to take photographs of the holster, both the inside part with some serial numbers, the outside, and a picture with the holster and the package, email it to them for their evaluation. AND to make sure its not really a left-hand holster. Then they will determine if in fact it is the wrong holster at which point they will send me a return label, and once they receive the holster "in question" they will then send the correct holster.

WTF!?!?!?!??!

I told them I know what a right hand holster is and a left hand one is. I told them I even threaded it through a belt to make sure that it was wrong... BUT NO!!!!!!

I can understand if it was my fault. But one of their dumbass employees put the wrong holster in the correct package.

What a shitty way to run a business when its their fault. I've had a couple mistakes like this happen with other products and the business has typically sent the correct product and a return label. Of course if they didn't receive the incorrect item within a couple weeks they'd charge my credit card. Which would be understandable... But this is just plain stupid...

I told them I'm not doing business with them again... bastards!

I owned my own business for a number years, and if there is one thing I learned, customer service is a #1 priority. I don't know how many members CO AR15 has but a lot of them will find out that Desantis has lousy relations with theirs. Good luck, hope you can make them see the error of their ways.

Galco and Bianchi.
The only leather worth having.

You need to try my Galco Byte before you go spend cash on one. Awesome holster.

That's pretty terrible customer service. I try to stick with smaller custom makers as their customer service seems to be better until they reach the production tipping point.

I have had a rash of shitty customer service from suppliers lately. Maybe it's the general economy that has everyone down.

At least after I said I was coming down to one place and clean house I got a manager that took care of things ASAP and asked if I was still coming down.

Told him only if he would buy lunch.

UPDATE:

Since I had no real choice, I sent them the pictures.

I received an email today stating they will be shipping me the correct holster today with a return label for the incorrect holster. To send back the incorrect holster within 3 weeks.

While I'm satisfied with the outcome, I'm still not happy with the policy, why do I need to send a picture as proof?

And I still won't be doing business with them in the future...

Just thought I'd let ya'll know... thanks for your support and "ear"
