Speechless....
Anticipate National Hammer Control Reforms.
What a very sad story. I can't think of anything to say about this other than: truly insane.

That's crazy! Imagine partying with someone that just hacked their parents.
Hopefully they charge him as an Adult.

+1, and you need a background check to purchase a hammer and you must be at least 21 years of age.

if there were more laws controlling who could have a hammer those people would still be alive today!
I lived in PSL for a couple of years (our time there was basically bookended by Frances & Jeanne and Wilma) so I occasionally check out the news. Aside from Vanilla Ice's wallaroo running rampant, this (http://blogs.tcpalm.com/off_the_beat_will_greenlee_blog/2011/05/st-lucie-county-woman-apparently-shoots-rifle-at-target-in-bedroom-closet-and-misses-nails-washing-m.html) sums the place up nicely.
I knew a guy in AIT from PSL- he needed an "Idiot Waiver" to get into the MOS we were training for (Intel) and he didn't seem like the brightest lightbulb in the knife drawer. Pretty sure he failed out of US Army Intel School... That whole area doesn't seem to savory to me.
Sorry...had to fix that.

It wasn't immediately clear what the husband was grilling.

when I was a kid ( or at least younger in age.. heh)
There was a kid that shot his parents with a bow and arrow.. buried them in the backyard under the picnic table and thru a party or two before they caught him
Pretty sure it was all in albuquerque... at least that is where I lived at the time. and I seem to recall it was a local story.

well I see this as more reason to carry, even IN the home.
When will we have hammer reform so tragic stories like this don't have to happen? Can you believe no serial numbers are assigned to hammers and NO background check or even proof of residence is required to purchase one? This lack of tracking goes back to when hammers had a need in construction. Now that nothing is being built they serve only one purpose... killing the innocent! Reform hammer ownership now!

I sold my place in Stuart last December and while living down there tried to avoid PSL and Ft. Pierce like the plague. There's some odd critters in those towns.

Florida is truly the "Wang" of America...

The only things I miss about living there are empty beaches five minutes from our house and Courtines. Most of my in-laws (or at least the ones we care to visit) live in West Palm now but I will still drive up to Stuart to eat at Courtines.
Most of "civilized" countries will execute the teen.
