So this is the deal. You just came across $2000 and you are going to spend it on a gun. What ever kind of gun you want you can buy but only a gun no ammo or anything thing like that. I would say you can throw in optics like putting a Eotech on your new Ar for example. but lets try to keep it
guns only.
This is what I would go with
Freedom Arms model 83 premier 44 mag with 6in barrel.
Springfield SOCOM ll in urban camo.

Nice AR 10 in .308...I never had one!
I'd get a 22" POF Upper with SWFA SS Scope and a can! Pop that onto my POF Lower (in place of the 16" upper) and bam! Semi-auto sniper weapon system!

I know they probably suck, but for some inexplicable reason I want a KelTec RFB.

+1 on the M1A
Got to say a M1 garand "match grade" or a nice 1911. I have always wanted an m1 ever since i got my one and only case of m1 thumb. Of course at 11lbs i couldent lift or shoot it yet but i would sure pet it and drool a nice puddle.

A really tricked out ar.. Probably mid grade so that I could use the other money on accessories.. Decent scope, bio pod etc.. Nice mags all that..
Always wanted a 6" Colt Python, mirror blue. Never could afford or justify one.

I hear "Liberal-speek"
You buy a gun because you want one and its your god given right to own it.
Why Justify it?

Now I'm all thinking about out lol..maybe Either that ar our another setup I've been wanting is a rem 700 in .308 with incredible optics....
But I will get those either way..
So maybe a chrome deagle .50.. Would be awesome to impress your friends on a camping trip or something lol [ROFL1]

Its free money man so go for broke. That is why I chose the Freedom Arms. I will probable never get one unless I fall into a great deal. A D Eagle would be a cool novelty gun but that is way done the list for me.

M1A Super Match and then pull a couple lil tweaks on it.
Or if you could find a WhiteFeather for 2K..................
"Liberal-speek??"
Well, okay, if I'm just spending play money I'd go for it. Yes, I've always wanted one, but I've way to many other needs like not falling behind on payments to be able to justify a $1500.00 revolver. Maybe someday though.
Unfortunately I live in a world of compromises.

ahh, can't afford and cant justify are two different worlds.
I dont need to justify why I want a .50 Barrett
I cannot afford one.

national match M1A or a PTR 91 either one with all the trimmings

+10!
I can justify wanting a Barrett M82A2 .50 SWS: They are effing cool!
Nuff said on that.
Also, now that it's been said, Rem 700 .308 on the way, so I think either a Springfield 1903 Bolt action rifle or a M1 Garand US Army main battle rifle would be fan-freaking-tastic to drop some coin on!
H&K mark 23
I've always wanted one, but couldn't justify the purchase. A free $2000 that I have to spend on a gun would justify the purchase for me

Sorry, they're all out of Sharks with laser beams attached to their head. But there are plenty of ill tempered mutated sea bass! [ROFL2]
SCAR 16 . SCAR17s, if price goes down to 2000.

Mint/NIB Colt Python 2.5 in blue with box, etc. Sexiest pistol ever made, and that's about what it will cost.

Kahr .40 cal, not sure which model. Probably a CW40 or P40. Also a Mossberg 500 or 590, add ghost rings, a Side Saddle, and a Knoxx SpecOps stock, and I'd buy back my SIG 228.

If that's the case... how about a Benelli M4 with the JCS collapsible stock, Side Saddle, and maybe a light, depending on the deal I get on the shotgun. I want it for repelling boarders, after all. Failing that, I think a nice 1911. One of Kimber's high end models, or maybe a Wilson, just to spend the whole two grand.

Real nice AR-10

2K on a Kimber would be a total waste of money.
Les Baer, Nighthawk, Ed Brown or Cylinder and Slide all offer a superior pistol.
Hell for two grand I would build it myself and know I had a superior pistol.

Yeah, if I was gonna drop two grand on a 1911, it would probably be a Wilson, Baer, or Nighthawk. Might as well go whole hog in that case.

If I could do anything It'd be one of those AAC integrally suppressed 10/22's they revealed at SHOT. or maybe a budget precision bolt gun...

yeah I agree. I will drop 1K on a Kimber... But if I had 2K to drop on a 1911, it would be a Wilson or a Les.
