Was up on the roof yesterday, trying to get done before it got too hot. Noticed a Balloon cruising around.

Happened to see that it kept getting closer and lower.

About 10 minutes after first notice of it, Well, see for yourselves,,

Oh, they had the look of panic on their faces, especially after they clipped the tree that is behind the balloon. But, it appeared to be a gentle landing after that.

From what I could tell, the ground crew were more "WTF" than anyone in the basket.

Took a ride in a hot air balloon once,the wind was gusting so we had a hard landing. I got smunched by two MACK TRUCKS [ 300 # WOMEN] couldn't breathe GASP.....[Coffee]

When I lived in Littleton, we would have those go right over the house.
We would talk to them as they went over. Kinda fun.
They would land in the green belt in out subdivision when necessary.
Never had a problem.

And yes they are very big.

MY family and I are scheduled to go up in one out of Boulder in a couple weeks. I'm not a big fan of heights already, so this just adds to my discomfort

I always wanted to skydive out of a balloon, back in my yoot....helicopter too. Airplanes were fun, but they're moving fast. There's just something appealling about stepping off of something that isn't moving or is just moving very slow. Always wanted to just step off the edge of the basket or a chopper skid and just fall until I got up to speed.

I know.....sick, huh? Great fun though! Coolest jump I ever did was opening my 'chute at 10,000 feet and just flying around for 10 minutes or so. That was sweet.

Why would you want to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft? I've ridden in Helos that deliver fast ropers, that's pretty cool, and probably would be the only way I would depart an aircraft that wasn't landed.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a hot balloon in real life.

Oh yeah, my dad bungee jumped out of one once. So besides that time.
