Specialty had a Davidsons-edition 16" Marlin in .41 Magnum for a while. Always liked it, but couldn't figure out a reason why I needed one. Last time I looked, it was gone.

Seems like I saw a stainless 16" .44 Mag somewhere once too. Rossi / Puma?

Since I'm having so much fun plinking with this 1866, I've been sort of hankering for something a little bigger I can "use and abuse".

Stainless & synthetic "beater". Short and light. Cheap is a plus.

Seen anything like that?

Oooohhhh. A 41 lever gun. Almost as cool as a 454 lever gun.

I'm already set up to load .41 and .44, so they're kind of no-brainers.

That 16.5" .41 Mag stainless / laminate w/fire-sights called to me for a while, but I could just never figure out what I "needed" it for.

Specialty used to have one, but I haven't seen it there lately.

I did find .357, .44 and .45 Colt online.

And a PAIR of .41's on Gunbroker.

Another .41 Mag on Gunbroker, but $650 sounds high.

I bid up to $725, but it's at $730 now.

Darn it!

Anybody seen one of these or have any idea what they "normally" sell for or originally sold for?

Specialty had one forever. I looked at it a bunch of times, but darned if I can remember what they wanted for it.

Saw one a GM Yesterday, Turned out to be a .30/30 though. They wanted about $450 for it.

Big-5 has 20" 357's and .44's on-sale regularly for $334.

The stainless & laminate has a real "outdoor" appeal, and I like the shorter barrel and fiber-optic sights.

But I guess for the price, I might just snag a .44 from Big 5 as a "beater".

Specialty has the Marlin 1894SS in .44 for $519, and they actually have that limited-edition .41 for $699.

You're really, really tempting me....

I damned near bought it on the spot.

The problem, if you can call it that, is that I've already got waaaay more guns than I really need already.

I sure do like that 16.5" barrel though. Handy as all get-out.

And it DOES go with my 357PD (.41 Magnum) revolver...
