Anybody know of a good spot at Eleven Mile Res?

I have not had much luck there short of a boat.

But wouldn't mind learning of someone else's spot. :twisted:

South-east cove on the very south side of Eleven Mile. In the south-east side of that cove across from the free dock in the cove in say 6-15 feet of water the trout sit on the bottom. This time of year they will only be in the coves at sunrise and sunset...you can get them off the surface at these times with just about anything that works on trout. My favorite is a dry fly size 12-14 mosquito.

EDIT:
Tonight I'll be at Pueblo Reservoir...the wipers are supposed to be hard hitting at sunrise....5-10#ers.

1st time busted all year....lost 2 worms...but no fish landed in 5 hours
They are supposedly hitting shad at the surface but wouldn't take a worm.

I have had zero luck at Eleven mile.


I have been having pretty good luck at Green Mountain and Granby this year though. But I have a boat this year too. Never had a boat on Eleven Mile.

I want to get another 12 ft. aluminum boat. They're like a truck, you miss them when you don't have one.

I'm going to have to beg off for the 26th, I know I started the thread. :roll:
I just got in contact with an old friend and, He has a car show on that date, Just happens that the Car He's showing is My old '69 Buick Gran Sport. I haven't seen him in a few years and, I haven't seen the car since He restored it so, :P

I'll catch the next one.
