View Full Version : GSG 1911 Question/problem
I have a GSG 1911, it has acouple of kinks, I have put 1300 rounds through it, so it is broken in. I am using federal bulk ammo it runs fine most of the time. The first problem I am having is sometimes after the first shot I have to manually rack the slide to get it to load another round, the spent case is ejected but no round is loaded. The second problem I am having, not sure if it is a problem, I have noticed more ware on one side of the frame than the other. The right side of the frame still has most of the finish, the left has none it is nice and shiny. Has any one else had these problems with there GSG. Any input would be very helpful thanks.

sounds like your mag follower may be binding on the loading issue. Does it do that regardless of magazine?
if you are seeing uneven wear I would get it to a smith and have it checked out by a pro before a small problem blows up in your face.
Bert of BPTactical is the only Smith I use.
I only have one I am not to worried about that, cause I figured the same thing so when it happens I put a drop of oil on the follower and it is fine for a while. what I am worried about is how it is wearing.

As for the wear Issue, Take it to Bert and have him look at it.
