Relatively new to the "gun scene" are there deals to be had for the average Joe or is more of a place to see and appreciate lots of different things?

I went last year when I was in town on vacation and I think there are many many deals to be had. Have cash on hand or your tradables.
it will be good to see some new and old faces at the show . and so folks know Byte Stryke and son will be helping me out on sat.

It'd almost be worth the 400 mile round trip (for me) to see and meet the infamous Byte Stryke and his son.[Beer]
I presume Byte S. will NOT be charging for his autographs while at this show.[Tooth]

If I remember correctly, Byte doesn't charge for autographs, but he does have some rules:
1) Limit of one (1) autograph per fan
2) Absolutely no photographs will be signed
3) Anyone caught cutting in line will not be able to get an autograph
4) Anyone donating to the Stryke Family Fund will be allowed to move to the "preferred" fans line. (Again, there is no charge for autographs, your donation just gives you "preferred" status - for every one person from the regular line, there will be five from the "preferred" fan line to get autographs)
I'm planning on heading out this morning and I'll be looking for you guys, along with R&S.

Went to Tanner after work today, Nothing new same old shtuff. I did see Byte Strike he say's high and [Neene1][Poke][Kick1]Also met alxone and two shoes. Nice guy's!! Thanks you guy's!!

I could not believe the deals on the R&S table!!! I know where to go for a new gun...
alxone, if knew anything about coins, I'd have taken a closer look at what you had. Your prices were great to.
I found some great deals on some Marlin mags at Grizzly Mike's table (dead center of the complex) ... for the 795, 989, 70 & papoose they were $14.00 each!!! NIB!!! There were some cats trying to get $16-21 dollars each for used!!!!

I think some things have changed at the Tanner show. A few years back you were hard pressed to find a good deal on a new firearm. Heck you could go up the street to Sportsman's Warehouse and get a better deal...
But not so anymore. I've found R&S, and Shooter's Instinct have excellent prices that are lower than any brick and mortar store around and extremely competitive with online shops...
Hope this trend continues...

It was very nice meeting Alxone and his wife, Ridge, Spliefy, Two Shoes, Sroz, DSBOutdoors, Henry and all of the others over the weekend.
I stopped by this afternoon and met Randy and sroz. While we were talking Byte stopped by with Mrs and little Byte--all good folks and nice to meet y'all.
I wasn't in the market to buy a new gun today but the prices at R&S table were pretty darn good.

Stopped by the R&S table. Forget who I spoke with, nice to meet you anyway!
It was a blast meeting all of you and I even got to chat just for a bit with Superman!! AR Art's right about the reasonable pricing with R&S and Shooter's Instinct. They tend to offer much better prices than Sportsman's, Gander, Firing Line and most other gun shops in the area.
It's also obvious that although we often disagree on things and have a few squabbles, the folks on this forum tend to be pretty good people. At least the ones I met this weekend were a cut above.
Oh and btw, I think Byte has paid his debt to society........can we have a vote on letting him back in a little sooner?????

Alxone definitely gave me an awesome deal on a conversation piece I had wanted for a few years now. I hope I was able to lessen the hurt with a bit of help and some parts. I'd gladly do business with him again.

it was a great weekend, saw a lot of happy faces! I want to thanks all thoses that stopped by to say "hello". Sold lot of guns at great prices, not on the best of terms with other dealers these day (don't like me selling guns at a "reasonable" price I guess). However, they will get over it or be upset for a long time. As long as I can make a few nickels and keep folks happy I plan to keep on selling guns at the best price I can.
