A little nervous but I'm going in for my BP med and pt test today. PT test is a joke 20 Pushups, 25 situps, 5 min stair climber. Anybody else ever tried or done the BP?

Haha yea then are families will want a free pass in lol.
Flan that sounds like a cake walk. I'd be down to get on BP but that means leaving CO (which after the Army I swore I'd never do again) and learning Spanish- no offense to those who speak Spanish, I just have no desire to be forced into learning a foreign language I have no interest in. Americans speak English.

I went through their process in the late 80s. The PT is a piece of cake but I don't really recall the physical. I think they let me do it at the Offutt AFB (where I was stationed) hospital.
I got a class date for summer of 89 and then 2 weeks before I left for FLETC a federal hiring freeze went into effect. Even though I was heartbroken and angry at the time it probably worked out for the best.

IIRC Flan weren't you interested in joining the military?
If so, it sounds like nothing compared to a MEPS physical and an Army PT test. The PT test sounds like a joke, I don't know what your physical would be like but I imagine its along the lines of "Do you do drugs?" "Nope" "Can you pass a PT test?" "Yep" "Ok you're good."
Just don't worry about it too much or overthink it and you should be fine.
Good luck and let us know how it goes [Beer]

[Rant1][Rant2][Rant1][Rant2]Damn,damn,damn.
So I have a sinus infection. Which btw the feds can suck on nuts, they don't talk to you for 5 months you get sick and then they say report for a med physical. Any hoot went in passed everything with flying colors except for my damn blood pressure because of my cold medicine. They're gonna give me another shot wed but damnit.

I finished serving my sentence on the US/Mex border a few years ago! I don't know if they have changed the Medical but, when I went through it, it was basically like any other Medical you have taken in the past. They check your for pre-existent conditions, family history, eyesight, hearing, etc. Don't sweat it; you should be in and out of the doctor's office in an hour.
Although the PT test is really easy, the Academy requirements are quite a bit more strenuous. Don't be fooled into thinking that you are in good physical shape; at best, you will soon find out that you are nothing more than average. Also, forget about lifting weights or otherwise "pumping up", the name of the game is running. If you cannot run at least an 7/min mile when you get called on to the Academy, you won't make it. More people get washed out for not meeting the physical requirements than for any other reason. Oh and, one last thing... If you don't already speak Spanish fluently, start working on it! Not learning the language in the allotted time is the other biggest reason for failing out of BP FLETC.
The Academy is a beast; much more difficult than the CO POST (I have been through both). Depending on where you end up, the job can be fun or horribly boring. Do your time and make plans to move to another agency. Very few BP Agents are lifers. Most use this opportunity to gain experience and be able to get hired onto other agencies.
Best wishes on you journey!
glad things went well, now just get better by wed!
Go onto the the FBI's website, save the info from their PT test and use that to prepare with. I used the FBI standards to prepare (for the FBI actually, but I never applied) local police, and the PT was mostly pathetic for them all and I was easily in the top 10% out of probably hundreds of people.
Jefferson County had the most difficult PT test, and that was the one I did the best on.
