I am wondering if it's worth the time to put together another water treatment class. Expanded, refined and indoors! Cost will be about $10 which will be donated to the Red Cross (this is just to prevent people from flaking)

The aurora class would be on a sunday in the afternoon.

The Greeley class I'm pretty flexible on times.

What say you?

Very good question.

Why and how you treat raw water to make it as safe to drink as possible using and demonstrating as many of those techniques as we can.

It includes a take home front and back paper on different techniques.

Yeah i am going to ask longhunterco if I can use some of his info from the class we co-instructed. He did the preping portion; I did the treatment side.

keep me in the loop for one in greality. How much space do you need to host this training seminar?

I need one table for demonstration and enough room for people to sit down. The more people the more space.

Are you a certified water treatment operator?

Are you a certified water treatment operator?

Nope. The fun part is I can probly pass the test for an entry position but you have to have 6 months on the job before they'll let you take it and like most city jobs; it's not what you know it's who you know.

I am a certified pool boy though.

Actually to get an entry level "D" cert, you don't need any on-the-job time. It's all the subsequent tests that you need time in a water treatment plant. I recently tried for my "B" but didn't have quite the 3yrs needed.

It doesn't hurt to know people in the biz but it's by no means necessary. You just have to understand that if you're starting as entry level, you'll definitely be in the sub $20 range.

Yeah but every job listing I've seen in the past 5 years for a water treatment operator has a minimum requirement of a class D AND minimum 6 months.

I've lost interest in going that direction in the past couple of years.

Regardless if you're concerned about the validity of the material; it's solid and from vetted sources, most of which are cited in the handout. In the last demo there were 2 people with direct job related experience in water treatment whom had no corrections of the material.

I have 3.5 years experience on water purification systems and would not hesitate attending
Wulf202's seminar. Depending on the date hopefully will be in attendance.
