Here we go on this one, why did every 1911 guy get mad at Desert Eagle when there slogan came out like they all personaly knew JMB. It has been bothering me for awhile.

What ad are you talking about? What people won't buy the gun? What are you referring to? Since not a single person knows what you're talking about so far, you should probably post a link to both the ad, and the people saying they don't like it.

If any one gets a chance to try it out at a range or buy one at a good price, dont let the add get in the way, it is a very nice 1911, if you are ever in a store that has one check out the slide action.

So...is this the slogan you're referring to?

"It took nearly a hundred years for a 1911 to earn the name Desert Eagle."

I don't like it for a couple of reasons:
Magnum Research has only been around for about 25 years.
There are a lot of quality 1911 makers that have been around for much longer than that
It's a pretty pretentious thing to say considering some of the 1911 pistols that are on the market these days
Other maker's 1911 pistols have fought and won wars. How many wars has the DE 1911 been used in.As a matter of fact, it sounds a lot like something you'd come up with.

Are you a Magnum Research employee? Did you write that slogan? It's all becoming clear now.

Ok..so it's a semicustom 1911 at a more or less reasonable price. I don't necessarily agree with the styling choices, but that's mostly cosmetics. The ad is a little annoying, but most ads are.

To be honest it looks better in person IMO.

Sounds like some asshole salesman wrote the ad. The gun looks like any other 1911 ever made, sorry, and other "normal" 1911 ever made. I don't get why gun companies claim something new, and then make their gun the same as a design from the year 1911? Jesus, come up with something different already. I will say the rear sight is fugly and the giant "DESERT EAGLE 1911" stamped on the side is ugly also. Other than that, it's just another 1911.

Their version of the 1911 looks ok but for some reason I've never liked anything related to Desert Eagle. It just seems like a trashy brand to me.
