So anybody have recommendations on good, honest (hah!) 4x4 shops and/or mechanics in the springs?

My car blew up (whole other thread) so now my suzuki is my daily driver and it needs shocks badly.

thanks

I see tons of Jeeps and other 4x4s with the FNJeep (http://maps.google.com/maps/place?oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=fnjeep&fb=1&gl=us&hq=fnjeep&hnear=0x8713412ea1e6d22b:0x418eeb92f5e86b13,Colora do+Springs,+CO&cid=9207056355153740440) stickers on them. So I assume that means something.

Ifn they don't do service there I be they could point you in the right direction.

As for shocks, that's generally something you can do yourself (unless you also need an alignment).

I used to recommend Aspen Coachworks but I think they've slipped in the honesty department (too eager to upsell ... but they're still good mechs, and they're not outright dishonest like many are).

While I have no experience with them, I hear these guys are good with the Japanese cars http://www.japaneseconnection.net

FN Jeep used to have a sign on the front door saying no guns including CCW.

I haven't been back since.

Aspen Auto on Union is good for imports.

Zundfolge is right shocks arnt too bad if that's all you need done.

Some factory service manuals (which may have instructions in there somewhere)

Good to know ... if I find myself with a Jeep (which is the plan once the Porsche is gone (http://www.co-ar15.com/forums/showthread.php?t=43623)) than I will make sure not to use them.

Guy that came to look at a car I have for sale couldn't stop raving about them, said he has been taking his toyotas to them for the last 15 years and wont go anywhere else.

I went over there once for something small and felt like they did me right.

EDIT: Check out clolorado4x4.org if you haven't all ready, decent folks and classified section. Some fellow co-ar15 members over there too.
