View Full Version : They got the bastards that shot down our Chinook
I hope their last moments were filled with agony.

And I hope every one of the fallen was so loved by their children.

fuck 'em. I sure hope I get the chance to put some terrorist scum in their graves during this deployment. Aim for the balls first, then work up to COM. Let them 'enjoy' their journey to meet Allah.

Ok i know this is bad... I was dating a girl during my senior of high school. She was the nicest girl you have ever met. Everything was going fine until i found out she was a devout muslim. Here is the good part... I had her over for dinner one night after that, and she kept commenting on how great the meat was (no pun intended). She then asked me what it was because she has never had anything like it. "Pork chops." I replied. Shoulda' seen the look on her face!

Yeah. I couldn't finish it. I am in the army with an upcoming deployment and a daughter on the way. I don't want to think about that stuff.

Thank you for your service sir! Man do I feel like a jack ass, I told my wife I don't want to promote right now (even if I could in this economy) because I couldn't imagine not coming home every day and seeing my kids and you’re getting deployed. Like I said, I feel like a jack ass.
Josh7328, I appreciate what you do for our freedom. Congrats on your new member of your family and please come home safe.

Yeah thanks man. And don't feel like a jackass. Nobody wants to leave their families for any reason or amount of time. (Except for when she annoys the crap out of you... Thats a different story...)

I know how it feels Josh, well except I'm single with no kids, but I about threatened a few weeks ago to ask to get re-activated (despite my Perm. Profile and VA Disability) and go for 5 weeks on IRR Re-train and reclass in Ft Leonard Wood, then deploy with an MP unit... what stopped me you ask? Called my res. unit and they said "no-go, your limits to your profile and VA documentation specifically prohibit you from deploying, you could get it appealed but that might involve a downgrade to your VA disability rating."
Good luck brother! And keep your head down and watch your six... I'd say be careful, but careful people join the coast guard.

I know some Coasties that would dispute your assertion. [Beer]
Uhm,yea, they got the bastards, - do you believe everything they tell you? How would they know it was the same 'bastards'. Did they get fingerprints off the launch tube?
Kind of put a quick end to the questions of why $200 million dollars worth of soldiers were put in the same single eggbeater.
Lots of questions, and yet another saga of the downing of America is swept under the rug.

Yes, but until 80% of the CG is presently engaged in combat operations in the sand box I'll say they're the safer bet of most of the armed forces in terms of likelihood of being injured or killed in combat.

Not necessarily. Having done two tours in Iraq in the career field that hunted down the people who did stuff like shooting down helicopters, (cell members, bomb makers, facilitators, shooters, planters, and leaders) I can say we are very good at identifying and targeting individuals. Unless you've operated in the counterintel world, it's hard to understand what's actually going on and just how much info there is from various sources. Not to mention we've had two wars and over 10 years of experience now in this realm. I'm not surprised at all they got the shooters already. Unfortunately, all of the operations I was involved in that would be good examples of this are still classified. A couple would make amazing novels.

+1! I agree, I worked in targeting at one point- fun job, especially when you have pred feeds... but I can't say any more. I will say that is true- although some of the ops I worked wouldn't make good novels but more good episodes of something similar to the Unit... except we didn't work with 1OD-D

Just announced, the victims here were not all Seals. There were Navy bomb disposal specialists, Air Force Para Rescue and Air Force Ground Controllers. RIP studs.
