An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout (http://oathkeepers.org/oath/wp-content/uploads/ColoradoFBISurplusStore.pdf) being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as “suspicious” and “potential indicators of terrorist activities,” instructing store owners to keep records on and report people who:
“Make bulk purchase of items to include:

Weatherproofed ammunition or match containers
Meals Ready to Eat
Night Vision Devices; night flashlights; gas masks
High capacity magazines
Bi-pods or tri-pods for rifles”

Is it time to worry yet?

Taken out of context....read the rest of the article. Nowhere does it require the recordkeeping of names/addreses, just a record of the transaction (which any business does anyways). It's the same thing where Home Depot/Lowes stores were asked to be suspicious of any large quantities of ammonium based fertilizer and screens (making explosives)

I hear ya, but encouraging vendors to report someone as suspicious for buying MREs is a lot different than reporting someone for buying large quantities of fertilizer in my opinion.

I bought a bunch of canned beans at Costco this past week, I wonder if that puts me on a watch list for anything other than methane?

Maybe not, but let me know where you will be so I can be far, far away![ROFL1]

I fear this bomb worse than any other. You are obviously planning a major attack and I'm afraid I'll have to report you to DHS!

Eh, dried black beans are the worst. They taste better but, my god, even bigfoot would run away....

Anyway, are they going after the 'Johnny Come Lately" preppers now?- I would thing they would want to know the preppers that have been doing it for 5 years or more. Like those vicious Mormons. 100 years of prepping don't ya know?

What kind of terror does one create with an MRE anyway?

What are they planning to make people want to stock up on MRE's and ammunition? I bought a lot of Ramon noodles I bet that chick at wal mart has already turned me in.

I read a news article last week that said the government thinks the next terror attack(s) will come from radical "survivalist" type people ala Timothy Mcveigh(sp?). Not necessarily survivalist groups, but ultra radical members within these groups.

This doesn't justify these steps in my opinion, but it shows maybe why they are thinking this way. Maybe why, according to a recent post, the "terrorists" in the warning posters were all white guys.

They have some serious double standards here. The radicals in their groups blow up SUV's, kidnap dead grandma's lie about global warming and get caught and still keep talking about it and lets not forget the radical racists black pathers working with ACORN to rig elections. And they are worried about us white hicks? Why is that because we never fight back or are not doing anything that they can blame on us? WTF. If their MO hasn't change they are going to get sick of waiting and rig a crisis all on their own. Just like Project Gun Runner.
Keep your eyes open and watch these guys.

I think, 1. they are too late, been stocking up for a while now. 2. We should all go out and purchase some more. Overwhelm them with information, people and items to track.

Cash is king... Do not purchase anything on your cc or debit card... Go to more than one store, spread the wealth around...

Cuz we all know that match containers can be turned into WMD's and bipods can turn an ordinary rifle into a Deadly Sniper Assault Weapon.
