I first one is today's date. The second one is from January 31.

Does anyone have an idea how this case is progressing? And then what will happen after it gets thrown out?

Looks like this is going to end up on the Supreme Court's doorstep... let's hope they rule against it declaring it in fact unconstitutional, which it is. I refuse to buy healthcare right now seeing as aside from going to the VA for my disability rating I don't need it. I would hate to see people fined because they choose not to get health insurance. Choice, I thought that was what made the US so great... I guess Obeyme doesn't think that way.

The battle isn't done yet, but a step in the right direction.

I can see homeless people living under bridges being arrested for not having their healthcare ID card and premiums up to date. Greedy politicians and the lobbyists of the healthcare industry have brought this upon us. Also too many illegals are getting free healthcare at the expense of regular US citizens. Freaking nanny statist types drive me up the wall. I voted for the ex POW.

I can't believe this even made it into law. And the fact that nobody read it and the way it was passed really grinds my gears [Mad] And that they think they can make you buy health insurance or fine you. I don't think the individual mandate will pass in the supreme court. But what I would rather see is the governor from every real state shred the Obamacare bill on TV and give a big middle finger to the federal gubment. Now that would be good family programming!

The lesser of two evils, IMHO. I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

If we could just declare DC unconstitutional maybe America could recover.

I was reading a little bit on this ruling and it seems there is no "exclusionary" clause in the Obamacare bill. What this means is if the Mandate is Unconstitutional then the entire bill is Unconstitutional.
Don't know for sure, somebody with more legaleze smarts than I will probably be able to explain it better than I.

If it does go to the SCOTUS then Kagan and Sotomayer had better recuse themselves from it. They were both appointed by Oblunder which makes it pretty tough for them to claim they are "Unbiased".

Ol BarryO is having a rough couple weeks eh?

To add to his woes, I just read an article in "The Weekly Standard" that Obama is more than likely to loose CO in the 2012 election.

I'd take the fine. It is proposed that the fine be 750.00 for not having insurance.
I currently pay just shy of 5K annually for the privilege to go stand in line at Kaiser behind wetbacks and Medicare recipients. Not much of a difference if I was uninsured and walked into Saint Anthony's.

I hope they don't stop at just striking this down. I hope they keep going and rule that it is also unconstitutional to force hospitals and medical practitioners to provide care to people in the event of an emergency unless they have proof of insurance, or can guarantee funds. Hospitals won't have to inflate costs on everything else in order to recoup loses on the very expensive life-saving procedures they do every single day that they never get reimbursed for.

A few grasshoppers dying on the steps of the hospital will only help weed their worthless asses out and the rest of us ants can start paying a reasonable amount again for healthcare.

Who is with me!?!? [Tooth]

I don't see how we can be forced into the governments retirement play either. I would rather not pay into social security. How come that's not unconstitutional?

Yeah, where's the public option for social security?
