Buddy wants to go fishin on Saturday. Need suggestions for a nice lake that's good to fish at, secluded enough to shoot at, and accessible with a boat trailer.
Thanks!
Not sure if this should go in the shooting locations area or wherever, so I'm posting it here and mods can move it where they please.

I can not think of lake with a boat ramp where you can shoot on the land around it. Most the ones in the national forest where you'd be able to shoot don't have boat access. The majority that do are on State / Municipal park land and have a ban on shooting. On the other hand Cherry Creek has fish in it, a boat ramp and there is also a shooting range on the park grounds... It is a pay range though.
How far do you want to go? Mtn, or prairie?

Mtns or prairie works fine.
The shooting part is a must though... we aren't planning on using hooks and bait to catch the fish [Coffee]

You forgot: "...with scantily or unclad women nymphomaniacs running around all over the place handing out free beer."

Depending on the size of the boat-Tarryall reservoir. About 20 miles east of Jefferson. When you are done fishing head up above to the west and find a safe shootin spot.

Can we shoot at the reservoir? Like I said, this is an essential part of it... we aren't fishing the quiet peaceful way.

We prefer Hornady.
I've never done er this way before, but my buddy apparently has so I guess it works and it does sound like fun.
Is that legal? I doubt you'll find a place where you can do this.

Not really sure on that, can't find any info about it... but bowfishing is legal, and I don't see much of a difference between shooting them with an arrow and shooting them with a bullet. I can't think of any other game that's legal to hunt with a bow but not a rifle...

Other than the fact an arrow ricochet goes maybe 100 yards, a rifle ricochet who knows. Cardinal rule NOT to shoot at water.
To the best of my knowledge it is unlawful to take fish with a firearm.(Or Dupont lures)
Check the Game and Fish website.
(Silly me-I see what you are doing-setting the stage for another tragic "I lost all my firearms in a boating accident" story. You sly fox, Brer Rabbit got nuttin on you! (Tar Baby joke not implied)
I think that other people around you are way more likely to freak out about the rifle though.

Interesting idea for sure! From what I could find it looks to be legal only in Vermont:
"New York and Vermont were the only states in the country where fish shooting was popular and legal for more than a century until Albany banned the practice in 1969. It remains legal only in Vermont, for two months in the spring, but a bill in the State Legislature may be bringing an end to the sport."

Couple of other related:

Then try Pueblo, its legal to hunt from a boat and the fishing is decent.
