I have a Crossman Titan GP that works well with the diminishing Rabbit population. Inexpensive and effective.

No problem. It is a nitrogen-powered air rifle and is a bit loud fyi. My neighbors don't mind my extermination of rabbits. Just make certain you have cool neighbors.

I use my airsoft rife. It shoots 15/second. Doesn't kill them but it gets the message across with out a lot of noise. So far, the wood peckers put holes in my neighbors house but leave mine alone. And the squires know better than to get into our bird feeders.
The best part about woodpeckers is they are territorial. So, as long as the current pair are alive they won't bother our house and won't allow other peckers near us.

Lol, had the same problem went to walmart and picked up a daisy pump for 45 bucks dont recall the model but its black and comes with a cheesy 4x scope, its labeled for pest control and shoots 770-880 fps, surprisingly it does the job on crows, squirels and thumper, I use the "destroyer" pellets the critters go down fast with a head or neck shot
I've got a Remington Airmaster 77 that I grew up with. Still poppin' squirrels.
The cool thing is the power is adjustable...1-2 pumps will scare em off, but give it 8-9 and throw in some good lead pellets, and you're baggin' yourself some dinner.
Just make certain you have cool neighbors.
This. In many cities, it's illegal to discharge BB guns, pellet guns, etc, within city limits. At least on the books. It's just a matter of whether or not your neighbors are dicks.
I had a crusade of righteous genocide going against the squirrels at home with my break-barrel .177 pellet rifle up until the neighbors turned out to be dicks.
(You can find such rifles in most sporting goods stores. Just be sure to get a scope built specifically for airguns, as cheap scopes will fall apart within 500 rounds or so.)
Not sure about the decent priced part, but I use an Anschutz 9003 with a Leupold 6.5-20. It was a little loud, so I put a 22 can on it. Very very quiet now.

Yeah, you have to act like a sniper... hide, shoot, escape, any where in the metro area you will have at LEAST 1 dick as a neighbor. I went to walmart and just got the highest power, I think it was like 800fps, but get one with the multi pump so you can really smash them in there.

I alternate between a sling shot and an old Benjamin air rifle on the rabbits. Although, after a pair of eagles moved into the area a few weeks ago the rabbit population (a least 2 or 3 rabbits per yard) has been drastically reduced. I only see one or two per day now instead of 15-20. Those birds are lovin life.

HOLY SHIT HOSER that looks like some kind of expensive predator control.
Very cool though.
HEY GUYS,thanks for all your advice and laughs, Sportsmans Guide had a
$20.00 off and a free shipping coupon,so I ordered a Crosman Nitro Venom
(sounds wicked huh?). Actually it got some pretty good reviews. I'll keep you posted on how well it decimates the critter population. Live in the county so no city ords. to worry about.

I have a cop across the street, a corrections officer next to me and a lawyer to my other side. The other closest ones are either retired or active duty military. No one even seems to hear a thing. :)
Although, the lawyer is a huge liberal. In our nightly political discussion last night, he actually told me that he believes the US needs to head in an even more socialist direction. His wife, who is an emigrant from Russia, nearly had a heart attack.

I'd love to have an Anschutz! How much did that set up cost you?

Just keep in mind a couple things.
1) (as has been stated before) In many towns and cities in Colorado (Colorado Springs being one), shooting a pellet gun in city limits is the exact same charge as discharging a firearm ... the cops show up and its bad juju.
2) In Colorado "Animal Cruelty" is a felony ... killing animals in the city limits can be charged as "Animal Cruelty".

Where did you get your sling shot? The one I bought literally can not get a rock across the street.

Was it the standard Y configuration or one of the ones with a support that goes on the forearm? the latter have some power to them getting accurate is the problem from my experience.
It's the wrist rocket style with the wrist brace. I think it's just the crappy rubber. It is like trying to shoot rocks with a latex glove.

i have bagged 4 voles this season with my little gas powered bb pistol out my back door. supposed to look like a ber. cougar, 480 fps, simple, easy.
the voles can be even easier though., pour five gallons of water down his den and when he comes up for air plug the little rodent, damn they are destructive little things.
i am also looking for a rifle to do the same thing though.

Mine is a Marksman like this

I have had it for like 18 years. The original rubber was the best by far. It took me 2 or 3 tries with new bands to get one that worked well. I don't remember what kind the good band is. They're pretty cheap, give a few a try until you find one that works. Oh, and I had to cut the band down. It was WAY too long. Make sure you cut them even and you put it on centered.

Lots and lots. More than a house payment. And the Annie 9003s have gone up quite a bit from when I got this one.
But at 10 meters it can put a handfull of pellets inside a 1/4 inch or less.
