Carol is "no BS". She did the right thing, a bunch of times IMO, even though Rick kicked her out earlier for doing just that. I'm glad that Tyrese didn't flip out when Carol told him the truth....left the pistol to him when truth was told about his GF, but him and his sister both seem pretty grounded since they showed up in the first place.

Sad for the little girls, that whole deal was messed up, but it had to happen.

Teaser looks like Daryl is gonna smoke some renegade butt next week. Where's Beth? How do Carol and Tyrese and Lil' ass kicker turn out next week? How's Rick, Carl and Michone doing? What is it, one more episode before they break until fall now?

I think it's a great series, and glad stuff is a little more active now...there was some slow episodes recently.

In the comics they cut right to things. Lots of middle parts left out. Doesn't work for tv. But when everyone was separated after the prison, I think they took too long and each episode concentrating on one group slows it down. It's been like 3 or 4 episodes since we've seen Rick.

For the folks that don't watch it as it airs first or second run on Sunday night, I apologize if my post ruined your anticipation of watching the show this week.

On a different note, for those of you who are not enthusiastic, or not anticipating upcoming shows anymore...it sucks you don't like it anymore, I still like it. I've never liked how they split the seasons up the way they do, but for whatever reasons you can pick on the show or how they choose to air it, I'm a solid Fan of the series. I think I heard somewhere, there are 160 some comics in the series, and the writers have only gotten through 50 of them To Date....so if they can manage to run the TV series up to 10 seasons or whatever, I'd be really happy to see it all play out the way they are doing it now. Yeah, I've seen some boring episodes and wondered WTF are they doing here?.......but, I said it, I'm still a fan.

Referencing the TD. For those who watched sunday's WD show. One of the "guest" said the ending reminded her/him of , Of Mice and Men .
For those who never had the fortune of seeing the movie, either the original with Lon Chaney Jr and Burgess Meredith or a few of the TV movie versions. 1 with Randy Quaid and Robert Blake OR the latest produced by Gary Sinise with Sinise and John Malkvoich. I suggest you put it on your Must Watch List.

I won't stop watching the show like some people have. I like the show and don't mind the slow parts. I'm big on fleshing out characters and situations. If it was just about killing zombies 100% of the time, it might as well be only a single episode. I'll watch because I'm committed, but won't cry if I miss an episode, especially since I know I can watch it later.

Admittedly that is where I'm at. All the rumors from comic book fans of how much worse it is going to get keeps me interested despite this season being, for the most part, a big snoozer.
BUT, I tend to get to the show around 7:15 or 7:30 so I see no advertisements anyway.


I've heard other rumors that they were talking about writing a parallel show elsewhere in the US/World. We know what Georgia is like. So, what did happen to "Nebraska?" Or anywhere else?
I'm also not sure why they don't make their way towards the Coast and look for an island. Tybee? Hilton Head? Clear the place, fortify, start growing some food…..

FWIW...I'm not into the series to see if what the characters are doing, are the things that *I* would try to do, if I were in that situation. There's a ton of stuff I'd do differently. I like to see where the writers head with it, and leave it at that...enjoy for what it is. There might be a point where I get to where you are now, but I'm not yet.

Any time I see a show dragging out the plot to a painful level I can't help but think of Dragon Ball Z. My son used to LOVE that show so I (by default) had to watch it with him. They'd have 2 minutes of plot and 28 minutes of "power ups" in each episode. BORING!


Also, do we know where Carol and Tyrese are? I think rescuing everyone is going to hinge on Carol & Tyrese. And, what about Beth? Is she going to make a return (not that she could be much/any help to our intrepid main cast in their current predicament, ...)?

Regarding the current situation for the bulk of the characters, who does that? After all they've been through, who just has their whole group just walk into an unknown situation and then, when shit hits the fan, they go running about without any idea where they are going and without trying to obtain and cover or concealment. Sure, it makes for good "television" and all, but even an amateur like me with knows their lack of strategy or intelligent bug-out just asked to get themselves caught.

i personally thought this was one of the better seasons. I agree that I now have more questions that need answering, but we've got a nice cliffhanger leading into next season. At least they have been on the move again and they're killing lots of zeikes. We've now seen the most realistic behavior of the post apocalyptic world (as if I would know wtf I'm talking about). We've got attempted child rape, starvation,what looks like cannibalism, people are finally behaving like animals, crazy children that have no medication after actually witnessing trauma are morphing into fucking murderers.

And to top it all off, we've got Tasha fucking yar as the chief man butcher! WTF!

Going to have to get with DirecTV and upgrade my equip - including the dish. Signal strength had been degrading over the last 6 months. Several channels got dropped with a "searching for satellite" about a month ago. It didn't bother me until today when I realized AMC was one of those channels. Tried to realign the dish - no success. It used to be simpler - not anymore; damn! Need a tech to do it.

I'll get this taken care of as soon as I can to be able to get the Dead back.

It kills me that I missed it, but I was busy with other stuff anyway.

No more spoilers without a "spoiler alert" like the Kazoo did, or I'll ban you, your kids and your grandkids.. The "trough" thing said too much already.

Check to make sure your dish is mounted to a solid surface and hasn't moved. Once you confirm that just readjust the dish. Same thing happen to me earlier this year.

I watched (sort of) season's 1-4 during last weeks marathon...thank you for DVR and fast forward! I am blown away that this series survived the bad writing and daytime soap BS through the first half of season 3, and I am shocked at the ratings of this show. However, season 4 was pretty good, and season 5 looks promising. 17.3 million viewers for the premier; that is insane!

We know from the end of season one that everyone already has the disease, which is why you turn when you die, regardless of if you were bitten or not. So probably not. Also, because they seem to be planning on dragging this part out for a few episodes.

Remember Bob said every group he's been with have died. based on the way Garret headhunter / Master Chef of terminus was talking to Bob , IMO the groups he use to be with was Terminus.

In the comics- dale is in bob's position. But dale has been dead for some time. Dale was bitten by the walker. The hunters are all killed and Andrea shoots Dale in the head once dead to prevent him from turning.

So my guess is following the line Bob was bitten. Sasha will end up shooting him. How long they drag out this hunters scenario is up for grabs. In comics they aren't very good hunters which is why they turned into cannibals.

I was posting from my Nook before and couldn't type well enough to explain. I totally agree with you about people being mad about social media spoilers, but this was a 650 page book that had just been released hours before. Plus, I enjoy books and movies strictly off of recommendation. When someone tells me a movie or book is good, all I want is the title. I don't even read the sleeve of a book until I've read the whole thing. I realize that is just my own quirk though.

I saw a website before that had a spoiler font that posted the enclosed text in a solid black line that, when you clicked on the line, would reveal the text. I wonder if such a font feature is feasible here. Of course, people would have to remember to use it (and not abuse it).

Question 1 -- there are always some that take stuff too seriously. You have to use the correct combination of emoticons to get close to the real meanings behind posts. [Sarcasm2][blah-blah][dig][AR15] Something like that.

#2 -- I have read the first two or 3 there are significant differences between book and show.

I like The Walking Dead. Anyone read the comics?

Up to issue #113 or so. Then it started to feel like he was just pumping out issues for $$$ rather than art's sake. Rather, there are some comics (Saga, Adam + Ada, etc) that I gladly shell out the $0.99-2.99 for and wish there were more I could buy, but walking dead comics started to feel like the writer's punched time-cards.

EDIT: As for show vs. comic, the show is pretty good for accomplishing what the comic does, with understandable content control. The comic gets downright graphic and doesn't really pull many punches. It would be too awkward/uncomfortable for half the TV audience that actively watches the show. And half of the other half that remained to watch would still be grossed out lol. Also, major characters in the comic get killed off with great regularity.

That is the same thing I heard. I disagree with starting the TV show so early... stuff gets so rushed, quality is out the window.
