Scopes for Rem 700 SA (in .243)

Without more information about how you plan to use it, I'd recommend either BSA or Barska. If you have more money to spend, then definitely Counter Sniper. Better get one quick before the government overruns are all gone.

Not sure what I am looking for either, something in 3x9 or 2.5x10, it's a 20' barrel so I don't want a big scope something sleek and compact (more the tactical look). Something good for 200 - 300 yards max. Funds would be around $300 max.

You haven't yet told us what you plan to shoot, but I assume this is for big game hunting. If that is the case, go buy the best Leupold you can afford in the magnification range you want.

If you are budget minded and want a good scope for the money, a good all around scope is a Burris Fullfield II or E1 3x9 with a Ballistic Plex reticle.
