Broken sling, shooting glasses I could barely see out of and only three hours sleep the night before. I think 263 (3x)/300 is a reasonable result with that circumstance

Video of how not to shoot prone here. (Constant flinching, too much movement between shots, poor breathing, and no sling) All the un pasted shots were my crappy offhand.

Thanks for sharing. Respectable score, especially given the circumstances.

No point in mentioning what you already mentioned. Looks like you just couldn't seem to get comfortable on the stock.

Just an excuse to go practice some more [Flower]

Garands are a wonderful excuse to lay in the dirt under the blazing sun [ROFL1]

Not having the sling sucked, but I lost the majority of my points in Offhand where the sling wouldn't be used anyway. As you can see the un-pasted ones from offhand are all over the place in the white.

Offhand and sadly that beer gut was not built with beer.

I'm far from an expert with rifles, but it appears that you might have something going on with your cheek weld today. It didn't look like you were comfortable with it and what your sight picture was from it in both vids. You're a big dude too, is the stock length too short?

I could blame the day on a number of issues as enumerated in the first post, lack of sleep and a broken sling right before beginning the match flustered me a bit. Shooting differently than I practice and not being focused as a result caused me to move around a lot and appear to be uncomfortable. I am typically quite comfortable with the rifle.

for your offhand! try and bring your other elbow down to your side! a shooting jacket would help a TON in offhand, but they are kind of $$ at first unless you can find a used one! at looking at your target you have a good hold just need to clean up the shots in the white!

majority of it is mental and just timing when to squeeze the trigger!

basic things that help!

NPA( Natural point of Aim)
position
sight picture
sight alignment
Trigger Control
Trigger Fallow through

I have been trying to find an old USMC shooting jaket, but will likely break down and buy a Creedmore soon enough.
