okay lets switch gears ,.....
here is a vintage cmc derringer in .440 diamiter ball ".45" - brass frame steel screw off barrel, half cock feature, rifled barrel with great features for what it is, .http://i54.tinypic.com/ilvk2g.jpg
takes #10 percussion caps, load er with 15 to 20 grains of ff or ffg black powder, or the equivalent to that of regular. be carefull! dont forget the patch[ROFL1] then let er rip after powder pack, patch and ball.
i have even used .45acp lead round nose bullets in er!
kinda cool, fun to shoot and kinda funny to think people used these at close range to try to kill one another or more than likely mame LMAO

You know it's a repro, right? Otherwise, those shooters can be fun.

most ppl forget about cmc , before cva and uberti and the rest, can go on and on with lists of makers.
some are kit guns, some made to fire.
mine has steel barrel, was kinda in rough shape at first.
barrel was stuck due to the brass frame, steel barrel kinda creates corrosion on brass and gets stuck. have had it happen to nipples on other percussion rifles and pistols. had give er a scrubbin and polish.

remember 15-20 grn of ff or ffg isnt piss.[ROFL1]
these things are so balisticly weak and inferior its scary,

use em full of #12 birdshot to whatever, if its barrel isnt rifled
its not a shooter. il measure bore diameter and twist lol
