Damn you MCarp71 [Bang] so he told me about this killer BBQ joint in Greeley that is pretty new so after the GSSF match today I took the family in to try it, and it is DAMN good! I had the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork and my fat ass couldn't eat it all, midnight snack [ROFL1] but really thanks for the heads up it is pretty darn good!

I'll have to try it.
Nordy's and Serious Texas BBQ in Loveland are also outstanding. Nordy's is better but they're both worth trying if you've never been.

Yes, Dickey's is good but I can't see how you couldn't finish a punny 2 meat combo and all you can eat ice cream :)

It was the beans and baked potatoe caserol that did me in, I didnt even make it to the ice cream. I would compare the meat here to Nordys, I dont like Famous Daves or serious Texas BBQ.

Kinda partial to "KT's Barbeque" myself.
Famous Daves sucks, Brothers is meh, Big Papas is icky......................
I never thought they were good enough to justify the price...there's a couple local places around here that are way better and blow them out of the water. Piggin' Out on old Kipling and Morrison is awesome if you get there before they run out of food, and The Rib on Jewell and Garrison has fantastic fries.

5:32am and the same problem here.
serious texas BBQ in loveland has great meat and terrible sauce. Nordy's is good, new place in Lyons (forget name, it's not that big of town) that is pretty good.
the winner is still Big Jim's in Parker though IMHO

I happen to think that Bennetts is excellent. Now if only they would open a Sticky Fingers out here, but that seems to be an east of the Mississippi place.
Nordy's all you can eat lunch buffet for $9.99 is tough to beat. I love that they have Pepsi products since I'm a Mountain Dew fiend.
Serious Texas BBQ is alright but not as good as Nordy's IMO because the sauce makes the 'Que. Their Texas Tacos are awesome if you have them add the cherry habanero sauce and their BBQ sauce. They're $3.50 on Tuesday nights too and are almost a meal in and of themselves.
My wife loves Famous Dave's and I'm glad we have one here now too. They feast for 2 feeds 4 adults.
We just got a couple $20 coupons for $10 for Bob's BBQ from Living Social so I'm excited to go check that place out again. We went there a while back but as I recall it was just okay and kind of pricey which is why we hadn't been back in quite a few years. It's off of 402 and Taft over by Schmidt's.

If we're requesting food franchises from the East I want a Bob Evans. Man that place is good.
Damn you all!! [Mad] Talking about BBQ and I'm sitting here drooling on my keyboard. [Tooth]
Luckily Wild Mountain BBQ is about 10 minutes away. Good pulled pork and ribs. Good sauces, cole slaw and sweet tater fries.
Sadly, the brisket is always overdone, dry and no smoke ring. The beans just plain suck.
Me likes some good BBQ. http://www.buddy-icons.info/img/smile/1733.gif

I used to live near one of their collecting lots. The moto was "anything still breathing". Nope, don't miss them at all.

The first time we went was with a group of about six after spending the day in a chartered fishing out out on Chesapeake Bay all day so we were pretty hungry. between the group we probably ordered every entree on the menu and not one of them was bad. The one that is chicken noodle soup with biscuits and shit was amazing. All the food was really good and while the service sucked the kitchen clearly took pride in what they did because not one food item we ordered was bad. Everything was great and everyone at the table agreed. Could have been that ours was the best and yours was the worst or maybe they've improved since you were ...dunno. All I know is our food was great.

Bennetts is the best! Too bad I'm not all that close to I-70 and Wads...

I wish I would have known about this place when I was down there for six months working in that area. I would have checked it out for sure.
I'm a big fan of Sam Taylor's down off of Leetsdale on Cherry...their home made potato chips rock, and the BBQ is awesome.

Really? I just found out about it a few years ago- had some things to grab from 5280 Armory and my buddy said "Let's get some Bennetts," best decision ever, guns then BBQ... tell me, what's more American than that!?
By the way, Jer, if you're ever around Costco it's right across the street... might even be worth a trip down a bit south (for you) just to get some good eats with the family some afternoon.

Two of these things and a brisket sandwich for dessert is an awesome meal.
I live a couple minutes from Dicky's. I'll have to give it a shot this weekend.
