Help Me Decide...

Hey guys needs some help. Been looking for a scope now for a few weeks and I have done a lot of reseach and there is still much too much to learn. But here is what it is between. Mostly target shooting 100 - 300 yds and some big game hunting. Looking for a more "tactical" so:

Brand New Super Sniper side focus 10x42 or
Vortex Viper PST 2.5x10x44 EBR-1 MOADecision needs to be made tonight. Thanks.

Personally, I'd spend the extra dough on the variable power scope. Vortex makes a great scope for the money.

I've had good luck with my Vortex. You get a lot for your money.

If you are hunting in timber, and you have the fixed 10x-murphy's law says a record 8x8 bull will be 14ft from you and you won't be able to find him in the fov in the 2 seconds you get.....I suppose you could mount a mini holographic and red/green/IR lasers, and a few streamlights on the vortex...we are on the ar-15 board after all.

Great choice! I used to have a SS and sold it. Now have a Vortex viper PST and love it.
