So we took the MIL to the airport this evening (she'd flown out to visit a few days).
We stood by security and watched her as she went through all the indignities ... keeping in mind that the TSA folk at Colorado Springs airport are probably nicer and more professional than average, I was still struck by the feeling that we're not Americans at the airport anymore, we're Soviets (or citizens of Oceania for that matter).
