My mags showed up yesterday. Very well made. Only a little longer than a P-Mag. Going to run them tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be trying mine out tomorrow. Only thing I've noticed so far is that it is restrictive on OAL; my 55gr blasting ammo fits no issue but my Berger VLD's won't.

JJ's already made them illegal in tactical class , last year after they announced at SHOT IIRC .

Just got back from the range. The Surefire 60 rounder ran flawlessly. Even when full it still seats without much fuss, and drops free when empty.

Got to play with Hoser's Surefire Mag, really impress with it, kicking myself for canceling my order with Midway that I placed 5 months ago... or so I thought. Just got a order conformation today [Shock]. lol looks like I need to do a better job at making sure things get canceled in the future.

they look cool but you can get 2 pmags and a roll of e tape for 30 and you can spend the rest on ammo. I would buy one if it was 60 or 70 bucks

So I can buy 6 30rd mags and probably fill them with ammo for the price of one of these? No thanks.

Saw a couple of these on the machine gun tours table. $130 dollars for a 60 round, not quite sure why they are priced that high. It is what it is.

SureFire and Bravo Company have them for....$129 so it isn't as though Alan is marking them up.

I wasn't insinuating that he was. I was asking why they are worth 130 or are they?

Yes, but you have the complete inconvenience of having to pause and change pmags. [Kick1]

Wife bought me one for my birthday. It feeds well for the four times I've shot it. The first two times it had difficulty stripping off the top round of a fully loaded magazine, but seems to have worn in over the next two. It fits in my Bladetech mag carrier, and with the tension cranked down, stays in there when fully loaded. However, it is top-heavy and flops around quite a bit. As a novelty, it is pretty cool. If I had a full auto receiver, I'd own ten of them. As it stands, one is quite enough.

Cheap poster-board over sawdust and grease. 'White Balance' makes everything look cleaner.:)

Ahhh...I misunderstood.

I think the reason they cost $130 is because they have "SureFire" written on them...

I would bet it was the RDT&E put into getting at thing to run reliably that resulted in the price tag. Show me another mag at is more than a double stack internally that will run reliably. Hell, show me an AR mag over 50 rounds that will run reliably, period. Don't even say Beta in response either.

Beta mags hold more than 50 rounds.

The russians have been doing quad stack for quite some time now so the r&d was already 90% done. If these ever get down to the $50 range I'll be sure to check them out.

It should be denver that is restricted and not the entire state of colorado. Unless they change the laws frequently. Checking again... ps we do have the 60 round mags in stock. They were probably back ordered because they were upgrading the mag components.
