I've heard good things about these pistols for CCW, but want to actually hold one in my hands. Sportsmans Warehouse and Sports Authority don't have them. Where can I find one to pick up and see how they feel? I'm in the Castle Rock area.

Thanks,
MtnWalker

Specialty Sports in the springs maybe?

Otherwise the only place I have seen them is Jensens, and gun shows.

specialty sports has them but are a little pricey. I got a P11 from arctic here in pueblo but they dont have any more kel tec's.

Don't know that I'll buy one from them. Right now I just want to hold one - and have my wife hold one - to get an idea of the fit.

Thanks,

You might try Dave's Guns. I'd call them first before heading up there, though. Jensen's usually has them in stock and you won't find them much cheaper new. 5280 Armory in Arvada usually has them but he's been having a lot of trouble keeping them in stock. They sell fast. The P-11 will be a LOT easier to find but I'd hold out for a PF-9 or go for the P3AT if I were you.

If you are interested in a P32 I have one that I am thinking about selling.

I had a P3AT and it is great for CCW, but it is hard to hit anything farther than 2 feet away from you. Short barrel and all...

That being said, as soon as finances allow, I will replace it.

Gander Mountain had several, though their prices and the guys working the counter leave a bit to be desired.

i dunno about the .380 but the P-11 9mm is alot more accurate than that at about 10 yards i could cover 10 rounds with the palm of my hand

I forgot about Dave's. They are real proud of their products based on their prices, but just to look, hmmm, I just might have to stop by there and see.

I'd like to keep the caliber to a minimum of .380 for my wife. If she can handle a 9mm I'll go with that. Thanks for the offer, though.

The PF-9 looks interesting. I may have to check that one out, too.

Cool. I'll put them on my list of places to look.

If I can ever make it to another shoot this year, you can try shooting my P3AT. It's surprisingly accurate for such a little pistol with vestigial sights.

Got mine from Dave's a couple of years ago.

MtnWalker I got my KelTec P3AT at Gander Mountain on sale for $229.00 W/Parkerized slide. It's small (Very small) I carry it every day in my pocket. It's like holding a squirt gun in your hand so it's very easy to conceal. The end of the grip will start to dig into the middle of your palm after a box of 90 gr. hp's. I was shooting a 6'' group at about 18'. The thing is , it has a real long trigger pull and you got to be steady. If you practice enough ( No Problem) in a battle beyond 20 yards you might consider running to your Car or Truck and pulling out the Widow Maker! http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y220/Tedwantsthemdead/DCP_1782.jpg

I've only been to one shoot this year so I know what you mean. If we can make it to the same South shoot I'd appreciate the chance to take a shot or two.

Thats a p11 in .40S&W or its a P-40 which they dont make any more. It takes alot of wrist to keep that thing from misfeeding i shot a friends and that thing is pretty nasty

If you ever wanna sell it I might be intested in it. I have been on the lookout for one here and there. If you are looking for another small handgun i have a Beretta 84B .380 it needs refinished/reblued that i might trade for the p-40

This is at 7 yards. It's the first 7 shots I ever put through the gun. After a couple hundred rounds I've gotten used to the trigger and grip so I'm a little more accurate. It shoots high but I can keep a 6 inch group at 15 yards with it. They're really hard to shoot so they probably seem a lot less accurate than they are. I did a range report in the polymer pistols section.
