Does anyone have any experience with one of these? Its a ported barrel officers model, all blue all basics. I have never owned a gun with a ported barrel so I am curious. Also what is a good price? The one Im looking at is 99% and he is asking $700. Any info is greatly appreciated!!

Lone Star-
Great little smokewagon but keep in mind as a compact it may need a couple of tweaks to get it 100%.
I have the all stainless model, it is a touch heavier than the two tone.
I got mine for a song at a Tanner show a few years back. The owner was frustrated as it had FTE issues.
I adjusted the extractor and it helped, replaced it with an Ed Brown Hardcore extractor and the FTE's ceased.
Over time I have replaced all the internals with Ed Brown parts, Grieder trigger, Hogue grips, Wilson beavertail and Wolff springs through out.
It is 100% reliable and my daily carry. I will trust my life to the little beast.
Get good mags right off, the factory ones are iffy at best.
How does it shoot?
Belches a flaming pumpkin out the pipe and snorts something fierce out of the nostrils! Loud as hell, kiss your night vision bye bye if you shoot it at night.[Flame]
In other words it is perfect!
If you are going to carry it always be aware of the ports! As noted it belches pretty well through them and mine on occasion will shave copper. Keep it in mind when practicing in off positions!
I usually carry mine in a Biachi IWB and it carries well.
Accuracy is good. If I do my job right it will punch 4" groups at 15 yards, which is just fine for what it is.
Do the ports help? I think so, I have shot Colt New Agents and Defenders along with a Kimber and Rock Island 3.5" barrel and I dont think mine bucks quite as much and double/triple taps seem quicker but it may also be because I am used to mine as well.

Price is ok-700.00 is on the high side for a two tone unless it is immaculate. I looked at a couple of comps and they seem to be in the high $5 to 600.00 range. If it was the all stainless version it would be a great price, they were all the "Super Tuned" model and only made for 2 years.
I would say if the seller has any leeway try to use it, you may have to do a couple of things to get it perfect.
Be glad to help if you pick her up.
