Here is one of the fastest bikes I have ever owned, it is a 1986 GSXR 1000 with a 1240 big bore kit bigger cams 40mm mikuni carbs Vance&Hines full exhaust 13/46 front and rear sprockets. The bike has so much
power it will break the rear tire loose at any speed when it hits the powerband, it is kind of scary when it happens at 80 MPH. Fastest time is a 10.71 it is a scary machine as well as beautiful with the candy apple red paint job.

Ahh to have a bike again, I had a 98 gsxxr 600 for a play/track bike back when I wa younger but the one I really miss was my 01 Yamaha r1. It was nimble, fast as hell and one sweet looking bike. The day I sold it I rode to work at the Fed center and left way early in the morning and the road was empty, on I70 from kipling to I76 and sheridian I hit 134 and the throttle was barely pulled...Man I miss riding[Cry]

..but it's so much fun... especially when you pass other guys[Coffee], and yeah... even getting passed as well can be fun as hell.

I like to take corners like that on my Electra Glide. Always wearing out the knee of my jeans, though.

Here's mine. Mint 1986 Honda VFR700F Interceptor in all original livery. Sorry, but I'm no racer. Islandermyk wouldn't even see me in his mirror.

That looks like a treat riding in the mountains [Beer]
I'm not as fast as I wish I can be or what you guys think, but I do have a blast even though I get lapped twice by faster riders on the track.[Tooth]

Actually they also came in white with gold lettering..... but I think that may have been '87. This one still has all of the sand cast covers that were only there in 1st year production. I bought it 20 some years ago. It's like art. Those original Gxsers, even without mods, were badass bikes.

I am after a RC51 I love the way the v-twin rockets sound and ride. I think the white and gold was a special addition, but I could be wrong my brothers were the ones with all the interceptors, remember when the Hurricane was the fastest production bike made?

Have I mentioned you sport bike guys are nuts? [Coffee] You should see what we do I have always liked racing cars, but there is no feeling in the world like racing a bike, there is no protection and thats were the fun comes in if you mess up its your life.

Nice to see some track riders amongst us... Was hoping to get out to highplains raceway this summer, but just never made it. Looks like I have all winter to get this beauty track ready for next year though..[Beer]

HPR throws a free trackday as a X-mas special sometime in December or January (weather permitting of course)... a way for them to say thank you. Nothing like stretching the legs off your bike in 40 degree weather, drifting turns on cold pavement... so fun [Coffee]

Nice bikes! I have an '08 R1 Raven that's bone stock.

Right now I have a buddy's '07 'Busa in my shop that I finished up a nitrous & air shifter install on. It also has an extended swingarm, strapped frontend, sprockets, built tranny, Shinko, filter, programmer, etc. With a weak 60' it went 9.80 @ 139 on the motor with a 250lb rider.

A while back I gave my buddy a huuuuuge head start with his R6 and passed him as I clicked 4th gear @ ~130/140.....on one tire.

After reading this thread, tomorrow I'll have to pull the Raven out and knock the dust off of it.

I have always wanted to take my bike to the track but the thought of her going down scares me. Being my only bike and being so clean I just can't bring my self to do it. Previous bikes were 2003 R6, 2004 R1, 2005 ZX-10R, all in less than 6 months. I get rid of bikes like I do with guns :D

My 87 VFR700F2 has about 70k miles on it now, and needs a bit of tlc, as some asshat backed into it in a parking lot and knocked it over. My 01 FZ1 is approaching 50K miles and is my daily transportation anytime there's not snowpack on the streets (and sometimes when there is and I'm not paying attention to the weather forecast).
