View Full Version : More bending over backwards...
I've never heard of the FEC until now... sounds to me like a waste of perfectly good oxygen. Now they want to do this:
Non-US Born Muslim for President? (https://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/fec-may-allow-foreign-born-muslim-to-run-for-us-president/)
It's a fucking outrage and I hope the Supreme Court comes down hard. We the people should file a big time suit against the FEC for even thinking of this!
You have got to be fucking kidding me [Mad]

Why so you think so many Muslims have been immigrating her since 2001. Simply put, quiet invasion. They know they can legally get enough people in this country to control a vote. And with them voting for Islam and Sharia, we are all screwed if we let that happen.

Guys - consider the source. CreepingSharia.com has an agenda. Whether you agree with them or not, it's still an agenda. I'm not passing judgement on their agenda, just their tactics in this case. I noticed they did not link to the actual FEC Draft Opinion (http://saos.nictusa.com/aodocs/1185406.pdf). If you take the time to read it, you'll see they addressed some specific points of campaign finance law and not Constitutional questions. In fact, here's what they wrote about the Constitutional issue:
Although Mr. Hassan may not be eligible under Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution to assume the office of the presidency because he is not a natural born citizen, it is not for the Commission to decide on this basis that Mr. Hassan may not be a candidate for that office. As one federal court has stated regarding the issue of eligibility for the presidency:
Arguments concerning qualifications or lack thereof can be laid before the voting public before the election and, once the election is over, can be raised as objections as the electoral votes are counted in Congress. The members of the Senate and the House of Representatives are well qualified to adjudicate any objections to ballots for allegedly unqualified candidates...
Judicial review - if any - should occur only after the electoral and congressional processes have run their course.
Robinson v. Bowen, 567 F. Supp. 2d 1144,1147 (N.D. Cal. 2008) (citing Texas v. United States, 523 U.S. 296, 300-02 (1998).
Thus, if it is inappropriate for a federal court to adjudicate in the first instance a candidate's eligibility for office, it is similarly inappropriate for an administrative agency to determine in the first instance an individual's ability to even be considered a candidate for that office.
So basically the FEC punted and said "let the people decide first, then we'll kick it over to the courts". And CreepingSharia and other sites are fear-mongering.

one of the comments to the article:
Hey lets’ not panic if in the unlikely event this lowlife runs for the presidency ,he would take all of the votes the 70% of muslims who think shithead in the whitehouse is the greatest thing since sliced bacon.
Keep the baby, faith
he runs as 3rd party, takes votes away from BO- he has no hope of winning, just dilutes the vote... works for me.

Not to mention the fact that, if in the off chance he won, he is not eligible to hold office. Let him run without any federal funds and do exactly what you stated. Although we don't need him to defeat nobama.
